3 celtic players went off injured last night; Jota (hamstring), Ralston (ankle) and Welsh.

Wouldn't normally wish an injury on players but Ralston and Jota out of the final would be a huge boost for us, especially Jota.

They were dropping like flies for a while and all looked like hamstrings or strains, not like they were taking a doing from Hearts.

Can an admin please change the title of the thread to the correct terminology? "Celtc" please. Or possibly "Septic". But please, never, ever, as it is now.

Thank you.

Totally agree and I hope all players are ready to return to training on 30th December...

Jota has been one of their best players, hopefully he's out until after the final.

We had no threat of all the top teams in last years cups and failed what difference does injured players do. Beat what's in front of us.

Surely the boy kyogo is out after the vicious assault on him?

Bonus for us if they are out but they will bring it up when we beat them. Don't mind if they play as they seem to play wide using the poor man's Martin Boyle. What I dont want to see is us starting like we did in the recent league match, hardly touched the ball in the first 5 mins.

Celtic will always play with width, they always have, in fact rarely do they play with two up top...........they'll have Forrest and Johnston out wide and Kyogo through the middle.

The man Hibs must concentrate on is David Turnbull in my opinion - everything goes through him and MvGregor. Press and man mark them for success on the day, as well as occupying their very weak centre half area.

Agree need to press high and hunt in packs, need to do this from the start of the game. It's important that our work rate is high as well matching theirs.

If Josh Campbell can do as good job on McGregor as he did on Davies in the semi that would be a great starting point

They were dominant yesterday but if Jota had been playing it would have been even worse for United.
He is a fantastic player at our level and helped destroy us at Easter Road recently.

As good as Jota is and as well as he played, I actually thought Josh Doig did a good job against him that night.

I agree with that after the opening spell in which Celtic were absolutely sensational going forward.

Rogic is the real problem. No coincidence that Celtc's dominance last time out ended when he went off at HT.

I do think we have a chance though.

Yes he's just done his hamstring.

Jota and Kyogo are their 2 best players. Ralston has looked good in the games I watched so far.

Huge boost for us if the final goes ahead as planned.

What's the odds on Celtic pushing for it to be put back if any doubt. No doubt they would be listened to and be given the choose to make.

Johnston may have also picked up a knock, certainly have a chance against this Celtic team on Sunday.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou insists Kyogo Furuhashi hasn't been ruled out of next Sunday's League Cup Final - and the Japanese striker, withdrawn with an injury on Thursday, could even face Motherwell this afternoon. i think some were actually expecting him back today against motherwell

It’s not as bad as they first thought, so they are monitoring him on a daily basis and he could be fit for the final unfortunately ( so said the commentators on Celtic tv )

Suspect they’ll be more keen to have him fit for the new year derby than for our match.

I don't think Johnston was injured. He came on as a very early sub for Forrest but he has barely played football in the last year so can only be building up his fitness still. I think he got subbed as he was knackered rather than being injured.

Agree they will be petrified they risk him and he breaks down and misses the old firm Derby. They will think they will beat us with the squad they have.

Yeah exactly what I said earlier to a mate of mine, the league is far more important to them this season. He’s already made an arse of it in a dead rubber by putting him on, he’s not going to risk another breakdown.

Rogic is by far the best player in that team, everything goes through him. We need to mark him out the game next Sunday.

I think he has no chance of being fit.

It’s not the kind of injury you want to take chances with so I’d agree it’s pretty unlikely.

Celtic will be very keen to win the cup but winning the league title is 10 times more important this season with automatic entry to the Champions League.

Not having him and Jota playing would undoubtedly be a massive boost to our chances.

The midfield three of McGregor Turnbull and Rogic is a great balance. Yesterday they played Turnbull as central striker and while they did create some chances they weren't great and Motherwell probably a little unlucky to lose and created chances of their own.

How we managed to win that semi so convincingly defies belief.

Gives me a wee bit of hope for Sunday.

What would help as well would be yet another couple of injuries for Celtic tomorrow night. Rogic & McGregor would do nicely.

Nah, Jota is 100% out, Celtic manager said today the Kyogo could be a week away from being fit but they'll see on a day by day basis, he also said he could have a set back. At the moment he is a major doubt.
