Stewarding is responsibility of home club as far as I'm aware, yet every time - they come to Easter Road & take the piss. Going through the turnstiles 2 at a time, the end overcrowded, aisles blocked for entire match, advertising covered, pyro display, large flagpoles etc, all with no attempts to intervene. Can you imagine us being permitted to behave like that? A tide of utter filth allowed to do as they please everytime.

If I'd paid good money for an advert on the south Stand I'd be on the blower to Easter Road tomorrow morning asking for my money back .

Do Rangers not bring their own stewards? May be wrong but I’m sure I read about this in the past.
The rules always seem to different and they’re “policed” with different thresholds of behavioural acceptability than what we and every other club are held to (along with Celtic).
If I was paying for advertising at ER I’d be very annoyed if I wasn’t getting exposure at big TV games such as this one tonight.

Noticed when leaving tonight that motorcycle cops were managing the traffic light control equipment between Jocks Lodge & Meadowbank Retail Park. I'm assuming this was to get the The Rangers team bus out of the city quick smart,,,, is that normal practice for the away teams?

Noticed a steward being rushed out of The Rangers end with a first aider in close attendance towards the end of the game - anyone see what happened?

This isn’t meant to be a tricky dig at your post but how is it you know how many of them are going through turnstiles of a stand completely separate to that of the home support? I hate that mob as much and more than you or the next guy and that goes for everything they bring with and stand for. Large flagpoles though and pyro? Come on mate. Aisles being blocked in the south won’t keep you or another Hibs fan from getting your pie either.

Got lamped by the knobhead in the orange bubble jacket who had twice been in the track. I pointed this out to the copper in front of S44 asking why I’d get a four year ban for pitch encroachment and he got away with it. To be fair he said it’s being monitored and he’ll get what he’s coming to him. Two minutes later and the batons were out. Mob justice but I like it.

How do you think they get far more people in that end there are seats?
Why are there ground safety regulations, does our safety certificate have an exemption when they come to town?
Clubs have frequently been fined for the blocking of walkways at EUFA administered games, for domestic games involving this lot we turn a blind eye.
Should there be an emergency & need to evacuate that stand in a hurry one day we'll see the consequences of allowing a lawless free for all, and those who facilitate it will rightly be held responsible.

Yeah, I noticed that you couldn’t actually see any of the stairways. So more were in than the stand could hold. And who would want to be a steward trying to police them entering the ground?

I couldn't agree more.
Once again it was clear that there were more fans in the South than the capacity of the stand.
What are Hibs and the authorities doing to stop this lawless behaviour, and how many times must it happen before something is eventually done?
As you say, a serious incident will leave us open to some major charges.

Perhaps a few of us should email the club about this but you would like to think that they were aware of it

They have a minute’s silence every January to remember the 66 people who died in a crush on a stairway at Ibrox but think it’s acceptable to double up when entering away grounds thus creating the potential for people to be hurt or worse.
They are morons.

I walked past the South about 10 min before KO and there was thousands still outside. When I got into the ground the Rangers end was already pretty much full.

They are morons.Or throwing ice balls at a gk... then booing when the groundsman clears the pitch / game delayed.

A cordon perhaps?
Check they actually have tickets, which then allows them to go to the gate.
String it across Albion Road. Let it be known if barricades are pushed over then the gates get shut with no refunds, then let them police themselves (if they can).

How about treating them the same way the rest of us are.
The thing is they represent the majority of the Scottish populace. They are the wild mob of a society that ranges from their demonstrations of sectarian/racist behaviour unfettered by a society though perhaps largely uncomfortable and a little embarrassed with this feels unable to speak out and act accordingly.
This will never go away unless the majority in this country can properly police and punish those responsible and call out those who by silence are aiding and abetting this which is Scotland’s disgrace.

:agree:
We've got Hibs fans being refused entry for having a rucksack, whilst this shower are free to do as they wish every single time, enter without tickets etc and other than a few of us commenting on it here it is just accepted by all, including Hibs and the police.

I’ve seen Hibs fans at Away fixtures this season squeezed tightly in to their preferred areas and seen others drinking openly during the game. So yes, I can imagine us being permitted to behave like that.

With a Christmas card of that Hoon Can’t getting mauled by a Police dog down in Manchester.
Warms the cockles of your heart.
Second place also goes to every time they play a Spanish team, they inevitably sing about murdered Catholics and act the can’t and the Spanish (Catholic) cops treat them like whack-a-mole, often inside the stadium for added entertainment.
Beautiful.

He was dragged out quite literally kicking and screaming. Looked like the stewards and coppers got a couple of digs in at the same time.
I did actually notice that there were a few empty seats in the block nearest to the East Stand so I wouldn’t necessarily say the South was over capacity and more a case of their fans standing in groups wherever they want (including the aisles) rather than going to their allocated seats and potentially being separated from their mates etc. Also worth mentioning that 28 people stood up in a row takes up more space than 28 people sat down so again harder to spot empty seats. Not unheard of for clubs down here to have their allocations cut by a couple of seats on each row as a result of aisles being persistently blocked.

I’d tend to agree with this viewpoint, I just don’t know how anyone who isn’t paper thin could fit two people into a turnstile at ER. They’re tiny.

No chance, viewed face on from FF its very clearly over capacity on both top & bottom tier. There are photos on social media as well.

That would be what I would think but then you have groups of huns round stewards and the red carpet rolled out and gates opened. They basically ack as a mob. The police don't do their job, the stewards are too scared to and they get the run of ER getting the best access and egress and allowed to do what they want in terms of flares and smoke bombs etc. It is the exact opposite at Ibrox where Hibs fans are lifted or thrown out for next to nothing and kept in forever after the game. I want parity. If 1000 Hibs fans can be kept in Ibrox then 3800 The The fans can be kept in ER until the home fans disperse. I want the club to publicise, along with the Police, the number of arrests made inside the stadium from CCTV footage so we can see what action is being taken, that includes the morons in our support. All in all just Police and Steward the event so that the Hun masses have to abide by the rules and that the egress arrangements are on a par with those at Ibrox. I'll not hold my breath as the Police seem to support The Rangers as a group or at least that is what is visible from their actions.

The rangers fans at the start of the game stood at the front of the upper deck and blatantly waved flares for several minutes. It was almost like a challenge to the police/stewards and nothing was done. They have this very aggresive mob mentality and the stewards and unfortunately the police as well are scared to deal with them. They do what they want.

I look forward to the images of suspects in the papers, how many times are the same group going to get away with this before action is actually taken, the group who organised it was the UB, a simple ban of the section from entering ER should be enforced, they are animals that support, no action will be taken the same idiots get away with it in the OF support, as for our supporter, idiot and should be banned from ER.
