And where did the prize money go from the last few tournaments. The game is improving world wide. We aren’t. The focus seems to be on just getting more people playing at all levels and not about creating elite players.

Watched Scotland at ER a couple of years back and they impressed me. Spain are clearly a class apart but I'm surprised how much we appear to have regressed.

England seem to be getting something very right with both men's and women's international football. But 10-0 (men v San Marino) and 20-0?! What purpose do these games serve? There should be 'B' level for non-competitive teams (whuch until recently Scotland might have been better suited to 😉).

Agreed.

It doesn't help promote the women's game when you see such one sided scorelines as it looks uncompetitive.

I remember shaking my head when we beat Motherwell 9-0 in a final a few years ago.
