Got to say over the past 3 games I think he’s looking back to his best after an average start this season.

He completely dominated that left hand side today and forced Rooney to get subbed because he was having so much joy.

He was direct, strong and put in several good crosses.

Well done Josh.

Glad you've singled Josh out for praise, in total agreement.

He burst onto the scene and had so much praise and attention coming his way that it doubtlessly took a toll. Steadily, he's continued to improve and hold down the difficult job of keeping Lewis Stevenson on the bench. That's no accident.

Excellent today and a big part of our attacking intent. As you rightly highlight, he made a player that has previously given us as a club and Josh as an individual a lot of difficulties, look totally lame.

As much as his form tapered off as you say, the boy never hid and he continued to give 100%. Hopefully today gives him that added confidence as he was immense and put in a hell of a shift.

I agree but it helps that Rooney is a carthorse that can barely run.

Agreed. Probably one that can pull a cart tho.

Definitely one of his better games today, but still find him really frustrating, he is full of endeavour and energy but seems to make a lot of wrong choices, just hitting the ball past folk but fails to get past a player, and runs it out of play a lot as well, but I guess you have to play to get the expierence to cut out these errors, hopefully he lives up to his potential.

Youthful exuberance :greengrin, just watched him miss a sitter of a header too but overall he had a great game.

Ball flew past his head but in his mind he had connected perfectly. I was right behind it and he did everything perfectly apart from his Berwick meeting the ball bit!

The further Josh plays up the park, the better he plays. Put in some great crosses too today
Thought he was outstanding v Rangers as well

Agreed.

It's been very noticeable that he's finding his form again. His energy and skill marauding up and down the left side is top notch. Outstanding business from Hibernian to re sign Josh on a long term contract. Delighted to watch him getting back to near his best.

He’s at his best when going forward like most modern day fullbacks

IMO the praise was over the top last season and fortunately it's levelled off now.
He has also had to get used to the presence of spectators this season.
He did well last season and IMO has kept it going this season which is no mean feat.
We also seen him replaced less by Lewis as time has gone on which again shows he is progressing well.

Josh possesses all the attributes of a top class fullback. Pacey, can easily skin opposition defenders and can cross dangerous balls into the box. Amazing business for the club to re sign Josh who seems very happy to be at the club for now. Great player.

Put in some really decent crosses in the second half. Didn’t need to defend at all but thought he was a big part in pushing us up the park.

Think it took him a wee bit to get over him having covid, now looking like the £5m player again, has a great future ahead of him.
