Another good bit of business by the club. Looks like most of our assets are now tied up on good length deals

Do you see the negative side of everything in day to day life or is it just Hibs stuff?

Started off very well, took a little dip. But at 22 he’s a younger Dylan mcgeouch type.
Good news for player and club.

I found that very funny. As for JDH that’s good news again.

I don’t disagree in JDH’s case. Started off really well, but has looked decidedly average recently. Hoping it’s just longer term impact of Covid.
Good that they're tying up important players to longer deals, showing these players we are committed to them and hopefully that commitment is returned by performances. JDH took a dip in form after contracting Covid, that's understandable, hopefully a wee rest has charged his batteries.

I think most of us saw what he can offer at the start of the season.
Boys still developing and we now have him signed on a long term deal.
Long term planning!

Very good business and a player I rate highly.
Even since coming back from COVID I think he has been good, not as brilliant as he was but still to a good standard.
Think people forget how young he is, lots of improvement to come from him yet.
Think he’s very good on the ball, defensively and mobile whilst liking a tackle.

Good news.
From a comms angle, it's interesting the way Hibs have been drip feeding announcements one by one on contract renewals - with each announcement getting very different responses in terms of positivity levels. And Hibs twitter today alluding to that negativity with their somewhat bizaare "happy with this one?" Comment.
If anyone asked me ( which I know they haven't:greengrin) Hibs might have been better putting out one announcement with all 4 renewals in it. This would have been better recieved overall I think and dampened down the wallopers on twitter with their negative comments.

great news, brilliant to see the core of our team being retained. Looking forward to Mueller and Dylan Tait coming in, and very excited about what other signing we will make in January. I'm convinced we are going to do some serious business, this could be the most exciting January window for years...key players confirmed as staying and deffo new blood coming in. Let's hope we can pick up the performances in the meantime and put the team in a position to kick on in January.

At least someone shares the same opinion. 11 league games, missed the derby and didn’t start v Motherwell. Also part of a team who has lost the last 4 and been poor. It seems you’re negative if you don’t respond “great news”.

I think your comments are valid re JDH. It’s understandable to say he looked really good initially, so he will get back to those levels, but I thought Jackson Irvine looked a real player when he first arrived. However by the end of his spell he was decidedly average and not that many were gutted when he moved on.

negativity parrot - stealing that one :)
turns the wheel of the internet tho…
I’m always scratching my head at the comments made about players that have been part of a losing team - like guilty by association.
bottom line is tho’
the players don’t pick themselves
Spotting, securing and realising potential is not a given but you have to go through the process to find out
If you don’t agree with the signing it’s the managers door you chap on

I said similar on the Doidge thread as it snuck on to that. I hope he improves as he started well and tailed off there’s no doubt about that really, unless it’s the illness affected him and hopefully he’s over that.

Of course, I’ll be there and want nothing more than sticking it to that lot. However, the manager, previous hampden experiences and the current group don’t give me much confidence. Or would it be better to say 5-0 Hibs?

Pleased with this, let’s not forget the whole team has lost a bit of verve over the past 6 weeks, not just JDH. It’s actually been a great opportunity for the team to take a break, relax and recover lost fitness.

We must have been a Hampden more than any other club outside Glasgow over the last 10 years. Usually ends in disappointment but you've got to put yourself there to get moments like 2016. It's inevitable we're going to lose often there as we're there so often. I'd rather that than go 10 years with without getting there at all.
