View Full Version : This might be one of the greatest clips I've ever seen... (Hibs content? Maybe)

I can't help thinking this might be useful somehow.

BBC Archive on Twitter: "#OnThisDay in 1972 a rather remarkable performance on Blue Peter. Poor Shep the dog must have been very confused indeed..... https://t.co/DfINtQLGXd" / Twitter (https://twitter.com/BBCArchive/status/1460585944852025347)

Who was that woman?

Turns out she's not actually a Hibby but I'm planning on watching that clip next time we beat Hearts anyway.

This 1972 clip from Blue Peter shows how far entertainment has moved on - or not - The Poke (https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2018/11/19/1972-clip-blue-peter-shows-far-entertainment-moved-not/)

"the guest, named Mrs Didcot, was wearing a football kit because she was there to talk about being the striker for Drayton Ladies’ football team..."

She might well have played for Drayton Ladies, and they might well have played in the same get up as Hibs, but has it ever been established that she wasn't actually Hibs daft anyway? Huh? Huh?

Very close to Didcot/Drayton/Wantage where I now live.

Ironically, when I moved here in the 80’s the first family I met were Jambos.......but had a few Hibby relatives......maybe somewhere along the path the whistling lady was related.

Used to travel home to Derby’s with them and had to split to go to opposite ends of the ground.
