But will he blow more money on the Hearts? There could still be a market crash though.

The managers declared they were “optimistic and enthused” about the next 10 years http://www.heraldscotland.com/business_hq/19703275.scottish-mortgage-investment-trust-optimistic-enthused-1-072-return/?ref=appshr

I'm not interested in this at all but I'm curious to know who Benny is in case I'm missing something obvious.

He’s the guy who fancied Miss Dianne in Crossroads. :greengrin

TBF, when I saw the headline, I presumed Benny Brazil had just won the Euro Millions

Misleading title. There's only one Benny who should be referenced on here.
I presumed he'd won the lottery or something.

This should be moved to the Holy Group. The article has absolutely nothing to do with football and the OPs obsession with James Anderson's funds continues.

Likewise. I saw it after the headline in the EEN about Lothian bus drivers possibly going on strike - I thought it was linked to that and a new pay claim...

(he is still a bus-driver, Benny, isn't he?)

Same here. Who cares about some mug who’s donating money to hearts?

A detailed analysis of Benny's journey time stats terminus to terminus on the 26 bus would interest me far more than any story about them and their finances.

Not if you’re constantly predicting that the fund is about to suffer a catastrophic crash and his wealth will be hammered accordingly. As has been predicted for about three years now 😀

It’s a concerning obsession.

Exactly! And I was delighted for him too. Briefly.

He played for Hibs for 10 years, played in Cup Finals at Hampden, played a season with George Best - has any lottery winner got more than that?

I mind Benny once bought me a pint in disco in some hotel in Stornaway. Hibs had played a Stornaway select. Can vaguely mind trying to waste several hours till the 5am ferry

I was there the day he scores the hat trick in the hastily arranged friendly against the Glasgow copycats.

Legendary performance. He was a hard working player for Hibs. One of the best we've had. He gave his all.

I agree. He always seemed an easy target for stick but he was brilliant for us.

Same here. International honours when younger and selected by several Hibs managers regularly including Eddie Turnbull, who of course, signed him. Always seemed to get stick based on how he looked rather than anything to do with his performances which were spread over several seasons. A nice bloke too.

Great guy, lived along the road from me when we were young and played football with him in the park when he was a flying winger.

I liked him, effort was obvious, but he was not one of the best we had. Handball penalty 0-1 utd in cup, shoot out pen miss in cup v tic, etc, likeable guy but not one of our best.

He prefers getting called Ally, don't think he's keen on the Benny nickname

Did he not score a hat trick in a 6 - 3win against Celtic, think the game was arranged on the day due to games cancelled for bad weather.

I was there too - think most of the ground was shut, and instead of being in the terracing we were in the main stand lower.
