Paul Hanlon to make it 2-2
Deano to make it 2-1 after the konte header of the post
Any riordan goal against them, just because he loved it so much and they hated him.

It's the BEST goal against Hearts, that doesn't EVERY goal against Hearts because 'every goal against Hearts is the best goal', nor FAVOURITE goal against Hearts.

It's a pretty straightforward Latapy, Griffiths then Riordan in that case.

Which would be a bit boring, so let's just have the random clips instead.

And Hearts always sell out their ER allocation
Unless a thumping is on the cards.

Spoony's. It had been such a dull game, such a long time without beating them, all hope seemed lost when Griffiths was stretchered off and then a goal from nothing. Pandemonium.

Kevin Harper volley up the hill a few days after we’d lost 7-0 at Ibrox.

Stevie Mallan’s raker at ER a couple of years back deserved to be better than part of a home defeat.

Garry O’Connor’s late winner when we’d played much of the game with 10 men, lovely finish plus bonus points for where the celebrations registered on the bedlam scale.

Cropley from the bye line in the NY derby in 74. 3-1 us in revenge for the 4-1 reverse at Tynie. One of my favourites.

I love both of Alan Gordon’s goals on New Year’s Day 73.

the sumptuous ball from Edwards for the first, then a terrific cross from Duncan after a bonecruncher of a tackle by schaedler, and a beautiful nod into the net off the post. Pure poetry

Archie’s at Tynie

Deek’s ripper at ER

Mallan’s 30 yarder

Sadly only one of those resulted in a win!

Archigod at Tynecastle - celebration was brilliant in its low key style although I only saw that on TV as it was bedlam at the ground.

Hanlon at Tynecastle - the only time I can recall a celebration similar in its intensity to the Archigod goal.

Any Riordan goal Vs them - they hate him which makes me like Riordan all the more 🙂

That's brilliant by the way, I was too young to remember Willie Hamilton but my father said he was one of the best players that ever played the game, thanks for that.

There was one that was given offside against Dundee which is the best goal I've ever seen live.

It was never off either.

El al Agui's in the first derby post relegation is another underrated one that goes under the radar due to the fact we got beat.

Impossible task. Each and every single goal scored ever against those ********s goes a little further to restoring the balance of the Universe.

3 Easy belters for me in no order;

Steve Archibald at ****castle into the Hibs end 1988, ooft!

Russell Latapty popping number 6 in. Epic

..and a bit random, as its before my time, but I never tire of seeing a goal Hibs scored at Tyncastle november 1975. Paddy Stanton pops a header into the schoolend right at the death to equalise. Cup game. Beautiful.

Archie at tynie for the scenes in the away end. Down to 10 men and up against it, but Archie was the coolest man in the stadium.
Latapy in the 6-2, just majestic.
Big Gaz in the last minute after Brebner had ridiculously been sent off.
Special mention to a goal Keith Wright scored to put us 1-0 up at tynie. It was the new year game but it had been cancelled a couple of times due to them not having under soil heating(they’ve always been tramps) the celebrations were epic. 8:45 in

Yep one of the best goals I have ever seen was right behind the line of the shot in the Roseburn and was so precise and a rocket. Wonderful goal

Benji's winner and the full length (nearly) of the pitch celly to the hearts fans.

O'Connor's 10 man winner that's been mentioned a few times.

Hanlon's equaliser at the piggery.

Could go through all the ones mentioned and the obvious ones, but maybe one abit less talked about is Zemmamas against them at Easter Road. He was recently on the Hibee Buzz and they showed a clip of the goal. Firstly what a team move it was, purposeful passing, direct, cut them apart, excellent run from Sproule leaving their left back in the dust, and realy nice nimble footwork and finish from the wee man.

👌 Ooo ZEMAMMA! 🇲🇦

Hearts were in with a real chance of winning the League and we were fighting for our lives

I can still remember the look of disbelief on David Weir’s coupon at the final whistle 😃

Not having a go but it never ceases to amaze me the 'wee fat' jibes aimed at Joe and Ally McLeod, both tremendous players in their day and not fat at all, I don't think they were all that wee either.

Met and had a pint with wee Joe more than once back in the day. I'm 5'9" and he was shorter than me for sure.

Noticed that Wee Joe Harper was quite poorly in Hospital with Covid 19 for 7 days

He is out now and recuperating at home

Wishing him a full and speedy recovery

My top 3.

Harpers winner in 98 (my first derby)

O'Connors last min winner in 03/04 (they'd had so many against us and we were down to 10 men).

Wotherspoons deflected goal to knock them out the cup. East stand was absolute pandemonium after, folk falling down the stairs the lot. Don't think I've celebrated a goal as hard.

Harper and Lavety in a game we had to win and it killed off any chance they had of winning the league or finishing top 2. Atmosphere electric and was a great game.

Boozy in the 2-0 we are unbeatable game, another game where the atmosphere was electric.

Best I've seen in terms of skill was either of the goals in the 2-1 at Tynecastle in 2013. Griffiths free kick or Caldwell's winner.

Best ever feeling though? Easy. Hanlon.

Best three (all for different reasons) are as follows:

Sauzee in December 1999. My first game at Tynecastle. Thunderbolt of a strike and the catalyst for a 3-0 win.
Latapy in October 2000. Best goal I've seen live in a derby game. The passing and movement leading up to it, as well as Mixu's cheeky flick and Russell's first time volley, were superb.
Hanlon in February 2016. Best limbs everywhere celebrations. Also, as scrappy as it was, the most important goal in our recent history.
