10 minute delay in his game for Lincoln today, he was stretchered off in a neck brace.
Hope he’s OK, didn’t mind the big fellah.

Hope the big guy is ok. Coming into form when assaulted by Celtic. Scored a couple of good goals too.

He’s been a big loss for us. Was coming on to a good game just before the first lockdown. Could do with someone like him now.

Could have been a great help to us this season

I thought his wee goal scoring spree masked his defensive abilities. Porteous is a better player and he only really played because Porteous was out injured.

Hope he’s all right though.

I obviously hope he's OK too.

I liked him and thought he was unlucky not to get more of a chance. Recently on the Long Bangers podcast it was interesting that Joe Newell singled him out for praise as a "brilliant player".

Porteous was terrible that season. Jackson easily the better player when they were both here. Now, I'm happy with Porteous but Jackson was good. Earned his place.

File Jackson under Mallan, Bartley and Gunnarson.

Decent player, but nae better than we have, and gets remembered as better than they were as time goes on, and as actual performances are forgotten.

I wish Jackson good health, and I like all those players.

I wish him a full and speedy recovery

Decent reliable solid Centre Half who never let us down and chipped in with a few goals

It was a mistake not to find a suitable replacement

Really rated him when he was here. Think he was forced off with a concussion against Celtic and never got a look in after that if remember rightly.

Would definitely be part of our defensive line if he wanted to stick around.

Wish him a speedy recovery.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery soon. He left a better player than when he came in and if that helped him to get his move to the club he is at now, then we all benefitted from his time with us.

I rated him from day one and disappointed he left, it’s clear his teammates rated him highly as well. Chris Maxwell and Tom James two others from that era who are having really nice careers for themselves elsewhere.

Never let us down … he was shocking in the derby at ER before lockdown

He was absolutely no worse than anyone else in that game. Hanlon was poor for the last goal, 1st goal was a penalty due to Scott Allans brainfart and the 2nd goal was a screamer from distance so not at fault for any of the goals either.

Adam Jackson went into that match scoring three goals in the four previous games in the run up to that match no bad for a centre half

My memories of that game are Greg Docherty frightened rabbit

Marc McNulty a disgrace to the jersey

Rocky might have done better

Midfield Allan Omeonga Docherty posted missing

Jack Ross no plan B again

To be fair to McNulty he did channel his inner Ivan Sproule by trampling all over a hearts players back, fair play to the guy…

The thing that riled me most about that game this against a Hearts side that other teams were pumping for fun out thought and out fought a disgrace

Agree with you that a lot of fans tend to over rate players after they've left.

However I'd take Jackson back in a heartbeat. Not the best with the ball at his feet but would be a much more solid option to havve than McGregor or Wood this season.

I saw Tom James at Leyton Orient last week.

It’s true that he seems settled in that team, but it’s English League 2.

If he’s found his level, it’s some distance below us.

Seem to be doing well down there.

Yeah, but he seems to be scoring regularly, always nice for a defender, and he was being called out on the football league podcast I was listening to as being a good player too, so good luck to him. For us, I don’t think he ever recovered from being turned inside out in that Celtic game.

James was way out his depth here. First league game of the season against St Mirren he was miles off it, he should never have played for us after that. As you say, he has found his level.

Hope Adams injury is not too serious and he makes a quick recovery.

Thought he was a good solid defender and would have liked him to stay on.

IIRC it was his decision to go back down south.

As for some of Heckys other signings.Glad they went back down south.

Now…yes. That’s because our defensive options have regressed though.

It wasn’t just that he was turned inside out, he was all over the place positionally, like he had no idea where a full back should be.

I'm not one to pine over old players but I'm not sure why we let him go as I thought he was coming onto a game. Might have been personnel reasons. I hope he's OK.

He was certainly unconventional.

In Scotland we like players to thump into tackles. James' approach seemed to be to run alongside players without ever putting a challenge. Time might have told whether or not that was effective (maybe it is at the level he's ended up at) but he was never going to get much of an opportunity here as folk got incensed just watching him.

Let's not forget his Hibs career was finished by a mauling from James Scott. That's now starting to look a bit like the old Dennis Healey quote about debating with Geoffrey Howe - like being savaged by a dead sheep.

He clearly had some decent assets but didn't seem to fit any position on the field, so it was sort of inevitable he had to go. I must admit, I felt sorry for him, it was just as if his face didn't fit from day one. You'd have thought that rigorous scouting prior to his signing might have picked a few of the idiosyncrasies up.

Re Jackson - I thought he was a superb player. Started a bit slowly, but competent enough, then steadily improved. Not sure we can hold that Hearts game against him given so many players we know to be good players were off it that night. The ease with which we seemed to find Jackson still gives me hope that we can evolve that defence over the next few years into a better unit. Hope he gets better very soon, good lad and good player.

Six of us were at Salford vs Exeter yesterday, none of the full backs wanted to tackle there either, they seemed to want to try and show them down the line.

Hopefully he's on the mend with no lasting damage. Lincoln issued the following statement this morning

"Following a collision just past the half-hour mark, Jackson required lengthy treatment on the pitch before being stretchered off and taken to hospital, where he was assessed.
The club provided the following update via Twitter this morning (Sunday): “Adam Jackson was discharged from hospital last night with no significant injuries. He will now follow the concussion protocols.”

Good to hear.

Concussion protocols - give him the number 10 jersey next week and tell him he’s Messi? That’s the football protocol isn’t it?

May have just been an allegation not able to be proved. Sure an Ayr United player got done for betting offences and had a long ban.
