During this episode we were joined by the captain of Hibernian Women and head of the Hibernian Girls Academy, Joelle Murray. A woman of many talents, Joelle spoke to us about her aspirations for the future, the importance of supporting women's football, and how we might help to encourage girls of all ages to follow their sporting dreams.

Thanks again to everybody on the site who contributed their own questions and discussion points for Joelle, your input always helps to shape the interview. Keep an eye out for a sharp turnaround in the announcement and delivery of our next episode, coming next week.

This episode follows the announcement of hibs.net's sponsorship of the Hibernian Girls Academy U16 National Performance team, we'd like to thank everyone once again for continuing to use and support the site, partnerships like this wouldn't be possible without you.

Probably because there's very little of Stu and I in it this time, but that's by the by...That was an astonishing transfer fee for Womens football in the UK, £250,000, eye watering stuff 😵

A nice, light Sunday afternoon listen, this. :greengrin

Just giving this episode a wee bump as we'll be announcing our next guest very soon, and want to give this episode the chance to breathe a bit first. We cover the site's recent sponsorship of the HGA U16s for anybody interested in that. 👍

Is this available on Apple Podcasts, or just Spotify and YouTube?

We don't upload it there, but if there's a demand for it and Apple don't make it too difficult, then we'll certainly do so. We use Anchor as our distributor, and they seem to upload to everywhere but Apple.

In the mean time, apparently you can manually add it:

In the app go to:
- Library (bottom of screen)
- Edit (top right)
- Add show by URL - then paste in the Anchor link - https://anchor.fm/hibspod/episodes/EP--4-Joelle-Murray-e19h9br

Should pop up in your library after that. 👍

Brilliant episode . Joelle is a great advocate for both the ladies and men's game . I hope her goals for the future happen ..and happen for her at Hibs. We are lucky to have her.

I've enjoyed all the interviews we have done so far but this was the one I enjoyed the most. Largely because I learned a lot from it; I'm not sure if it comes across but I was actually pretty shocked at how much hard work the women's set up have to put in to get some pretty basic stuff. The conversation around sponsorship arose quite organically when we were planning the interview and it just seemed a bit of a no brainer to help out.

Joelle is just a great ambassador for the club and very knowledgeable. As women's football continues to grow I'm glad we have someone like her at the club.
