How many players do you think would walk into the Celtic and Rangers teams from other clubs in the league?

Walk in? Absolutely none. That's because they can pay 10 times more than any other club therefore have the better players. There would be a few that would fill their bench but none would be walking in to those sides.

Gordon would start for both.
Broony would still be a staple in the Septic midfield.
Beyond those, maybe Baningime - but it's a very big maybe.
Boyle would be the closest of our lot, but would be an impact sub at best, IMO.

The reason I ask this is that quite clearly they can spend millions whilst in terms of resources there's not a massive difference between the other teams especially when they are missing their best players. I'm always quite surprised when folk come on and say we'll beat this team by 3 or 4 goals. If Boyle was suspended I wouldn't be 100% confident of beating teams in the championship. It seems that most teams when they have their best 11 playing are half decent but have nothing in reserve when they look to the bench, ultimately are our expectations higher than they should be and can this realistically only be addressed with a significant injection of cash?

None would walk in
A couple could maybe be used as squad players and get a decent enough amount of minutes. The closest in the league id say are
Craig Gordon
John Souttar
Scott Brown
Baningime
Martin Boyle
Ryan Hedges
Kevin Nisbet - Only if his attitude went back to caring
None
Agree, and that in a nutshell is the problem with Scottish football.

Agree with most of these but not Souttar or Brown.
I think Doig would be in there too. He's better than Bassey for example and on par with Juranovic who is currently playing LB for Celtic.

Porteous would get a game for the Huns.

how many players out with the top two in any league "walk in" to the top two?
Rantic both have a handful of players that have come from other clubs in league
IMO, Doig, Porto, Magennis, Boyle, Nisbet and Doidge would all contribute playing for the top 2

None.
At a push Boyle would make their squad.

Dont think it would be a push, think he would quite easily play for both teams

And I think he's on loan from Wolves
At the moment none from our team, Porteous, Doig and Boyle would probably be squad players.

Craig Gordon would walk into the Celtic team no problem……Oh wait 🤔😂😂😂😂
Other than that I can’t think of one player tbh.

Nisbet would certainly walk in...
...as he certainly wouldn't make an effort to run in 🤣

Interesting.
Not being a wido but who do you reckon he would put out the rangers / Celtic team
Based on current form I couldn’t see him getting anywhere near their starting 11.

Doig is nowhere near Barisic level. Barisic plays regularly for Croatia, one of the best international teams in the world.
I'm not even sure on current form Doig should be starting for Hibs.

I don't agree. Bench player at best. He's not disciplined enough to play in any sort of rigid team structure.

Yes I know who Barisic is and that he plays for Croatia.
I said Doig is better than Bassey, the current occupant of the left back slot for Rangers.

There will never be a time we have a player good enough to start for the uglies in our team at least for longer than a season. The Uglies will either buy that player or make them push for a move down south.

Imagine how good Porto would be if the referee didn't give fouls against him?

Imagine how good Porto would be if he didn't dive into tackles in that way? The one against McGregor was dreadful.

The reason for asking this question was that I couldn't see a lot of quality in the other teams as well as ours, McFadden was saying he thought that the league had improved I can't say I share that opinion.

Boyle for me is a better player than johnstone and abada who play for celtic most weeks
Rangers im not so sure of, hagi and roofe i think(dont see much of them) are the wide players, boyle isnt as skillful as hagi but scores more goals so would be a toss up, put boyle ina better team and i really do think he would be even better

I do like Johnston I’ll give you that will be a brilliant player if he stays fit
Wouldn’t mind seeing hibs ask for a wee 6 months loan
