Listening to German news on the radio this morning and it would appear that Belarusian leader Lukaschenko is flying in people from war torn countries, only to then push them over the EU borders in Lithuania and Poland and causing a humanitarian crisis. I really hope this guy's days are numbered.

The guy's a total nutjob but he seems to have as strong a hold on power as his eastern neighbour.
On a related note: the whole idea of the EU relying on the countries on it's Eastern extremes to restrict entry to countries further west, like Germany, seems a flawed concept.
The Schengen Agreement might have made sense before the EU's eastern expansion, but not now.

It's an outdated concept and has its roots in a time where actual barriers and several hundred thousand soldiers
stopped people crossing from east to west.
