Brilliant tonight when he came on.

Energy, confidence, looked after the ball and was putting tackles in.

Deserves to start on Saturday against County.

Nisbet should take a leaf out of his book when it comes to attitude.

Yup, more than earned his place for me.

Came on with a positive attitude and lifted those around him. Might just be one game but given how poor some others have been and our injuries he'll fancy himself a start at the weekend.

I’d play him. Can’t be any worse than what’s started in the last three games.

Campbell done well, gave us a bit of what Magennis give us and we need it to break teams down and make it difficult for defenders.

I thought he'd went back on loan as he seemed to have vanished after a few pre season starts. I like the lad and believe he should've had more game time, something Ross is guilty of not playing some youngsters.

Definitely deserves a run of games to show what he's capable of. Looked good in the few pre-season and European games he played in. And tonight actually.

Very impressive tonight. Thought his arrival also seemed to give a boost to Newell and JDH. I’d start the same three on Saturday.

He done well and deserves more but have to be careful bringing young talent into a crap team that is struggling. he could not do any worse than some at Easter Road just now.

We’ve not really had any crumbs of comfort over the past few games so it’s good to see that at least we have one player who has used the opportunity given to him through the absence of others to actually make a serious claim for a more prominent role.

He’s been injured last 7 games.

Need to be careful he’s not rushed too quickly back but added energy into a pedestrian midfield.

Was he the guy beating the running records in pre- season or was that someone else ?

Aye bung him in the side and he will slaughter the opposition! Well, a few MacDonalds at least.

Certainly not brilliant but brought some much needed energy to midfield.

Yeah that’s him, was under Hecky who started him in pre season.

Hecky used him deeper as the energy/box to box player and he seemed a bit nervy.

Developed a lot out on loan and has an eye for goal.

A bit desire and fight, newell and jdh invisible again, brilliant to see Campbell and Gullane come on and try to get us going. We’ll done both lads. Both should start on staturday along with 1 of the 17 year old in form strikers we have at the moment.

You really think Newell and JDH were invisible in the second half? I thought they looked more like themselves once JC came on.

Agreed.

He done well but the fact his performance is being described as brilliant shows how bad things have got over the last 4 games.

There passengers, flatter to deceive. I thought we were really onto something at the start of the season they looked brilliant. No pressing no fight no tackles in the 1st half. We were lucky rogic went off or it would have been a really bad night. Easy to come out in the 2nd half and play better than that 1st half. It took a laddie coming on at half time to get them going, what does that say about them? Jack ross favourites so they’ll always start.

Agree with all the foregoing plaudits for Josh, however, when Jack Ross picks his team at the weekend the prospects of Josh playing ahead of Newall or JDH are virtually nil. The negative 2 are undropable by Ross and Josh will have to hope that Gogic is relegated back to the bench because Sideways (Newall) and Backwards (JDH) are the manager's nailed on picks.
I can't stand watching much more of this pairing carrying out Ross's boring, slow, predictable utterly crap midfield tactics.

That laddie gave us the energy we’ve missed since Magennis has been out. Newell and JDH looked great when Magennis was flying earlier in the season. Can you not acknowledge that they maybe need that energetic type of player alongside them to get the best out of them? Or maybe you prefer just to slag them off and shower us with more negativity? This is a thread praising Josh Campbell. One of the main things for me from him tonight was how he lifted others around him. Obviously passed you by though.

So you need somebody else to do your running and tackling etc? Nah you scrap and fight for everything and you show a bravery and desire to demand the ball and make things happen, that’s what a centre mid does. No go hiding until a young laddie embarrasses you into doing something. I call it how I see it, we do well Im buzzing and say positive things, we dont do the fundamental things that are a given then I’ll be negative and share that. That ok with you?

Well done Josh. Has earned his place in the side for Saturday. Bit of energy fighting for every ball in there was great to see and helped to inspire others around him.

One of the few positives this evening was Campbell's performance.

He showed enough promise and hunger that he deserves to start on Saturday.

Play Campbell as well as the other two thought Campbell gave us better balance in second half also thought JDH was good second half.

It tells a story that a player who’s not been seen since about July is the 1 we’re talking about as being our best player tonight. The lad done ok when he came in but he couldn’t have been any worse than who he replaced. He’s not going to be a regular at the club and arguably should’ve been let go in the summer.

The squad is too small and JR is getting desperate.

What story does it tell?

Maybe Campbell's simply upped his game at the right time, but he has to show it consistently. We'll see if he can - if he gets a chance.

Doesnt tell any story, he has also been out injured i believe so would likely have had more involvement

Should start instead of Giogic who is not a footballer and inevitably gets booked which neutralises his ball winning ability.

He has been injured and now is not is the only story to tell. He was involved prior to injury.

He plays holding mid, centre half, wide and full back, but I think he's really found his position as an attacking mid making runs into the box when he was out on loan.

Gogic is great in a counter attacking team, but we're obviously trying to force a change of style this season. It's great when we have our full 1st team fit, but we are struggling to manage it right now. Look at the difficulty Glass has had changing things at Aberdeen.
