Lower air passenger duty on flights within the UK. Climate change? Obviously doesn't exist in the UK.

Universal credit. For each £1 earnings 63p is cut from universal credit, he is cutting it to 55p. Wow, how generous!!

Why not just keep the £20 uplift.

Pensioners pay for the spending as triple lock abandoned for the term of this parliament, until the next election at the earliest.

Am I interpreting this wrong but, did he just cut Universal Credit in over half?

Hope the Bank of England increase interest rates soon.

Selfish on my part but savers have lost out for a long time now.

No. If you work and are on UC, for every £1 you earn above a certain amount you lose a percentage of your UC. Currently that's 63% or 63p and he is reducing it to 55% or 53p,so you get an extra 8p compared to now.

Chief secretary to the Treasury just admitted that the APD cut was a political move to support the union. Climate no more.

Household budgets will only rise marginally over the next 10 years due to inflation and poor growth, so says IFS.

I’m not normally a fan but Rachel Reeves was brilliant in her rebuttal today. Very confident.

So to make up for losing the £20, you'd only have to earn an extra £250 a week, is that right? Chicken feed!

This is the simple detail that the Tories clearly don’t even pretend to know or care about. Some minister whose name escapes me was banging on in interview about the £20 cut in weekly UC being ‘the equivalent of only working an extra 2 hours a week’, as if it wasn’t that big a deal, when in fact you would have to work an extra 9 hours a week to make up for that degree of cut to UC. Knowing this stuff is their actual JOB.

There’s very little to say except they are ****ing *****.

Agreed. She should be the leader. The sooner the better.

Fuel prices are through the roof putting strain on low income workers who rely on their car to get to work. Would have been madness to Increase fuel duty.
