The very first Argentine football championship in 1891 resulted in a play off between St Andrews FC and Old Caledonians FC. St Andrews beat their Scottish rivals for the title and the club descended from them, Independiente launched this strip to honour their origins. More here: https://t.co/S5MWiKnAQq

Yeah that's been a regular away kit design for Independiente over the years.
One of Avellanedas big two, Racing Club being their deadly rivals and remarkably the two grounds back on the each other. Makes Dens and Tannadice seem quite distant.

A thing of beauty. Scotland gave football to the world, should entitle us to a bye into all major tournaments. Shouldn't have to bother with the qualification malarkey. 😁

They're 200m apart. Dens Park and Tannadice are 110m apart.

Dundee Derby is still the winner.

Fair enough, you've done your homework. Maybe they just seem closer cos they are big stadiums and historic clubs with big supports. There's literally a street where the buildings are all red/white and then immediately Sky blue/white.

The stadiums are enormous, so that makes sense.
