It was Raymond Sharp. I played with Raymond when much younger and knew him well. Remember giving him dogs abuse from the fence that used to be around the pitch. He said that the final against Mickey was a nightmare as it was just relentless from him all gamesorry my mistake , but it was a terrible tackle on mark.

I remember Mark McGraw’s old man Alan getting carried off with a severe leg injury in a League Cup Semi Final with 15 minutes to go against Dundee at Tiny back in 1968/69 with the game finely balanced at 1-1

It looked as though HIBS were down to ten men as HIBS had already made their one substitution with Wee Jimmy O’Rourke replacing the Mighty Quinn

Five minute’s later Alan McGraw reappeared to be greeted by a tumultuous roar from the Hibernian faithful

His role was initially as nuisance value hugging the wing to draw a dark blue shirt to him

Imagine our delight when deep into injury time he managed to deflect a late Eric Stevenson corner into the net off his damaged bandaged knee before colliding with the far post to send HIBS into the final

Must admit I have no recollection of Westwater ever being at Hibs. But then my first thought was Gareth Evans being the guy that was flattened.

Of course it was Mark McGraw. I recall during the game that he was injured thinking that he was becoming a very effective player for us, but then it all went pear shaped as a result of that injury. Don't think he was the same after that injury.

As a comparision, I'd say Oli Shaw is/was a similar style of player but far better than McGraw.

I remember Mark McGraw being a prolific goalscorer for our Reserves with excellent movement and vision very hard to pin down but as others have said received a bad injury not helped by being flattened by ‘There’s only two Andy Gorams ! ‘ :greengrin

I remember being behind the goals with Bolton Hibee flat on his back with a bottle of whisky down his throat from the long afternoon journey up from Lancashire! When Keith Keith Keith scored!
That was some game and some trip. Happy days

Bedlam when Keith scored and scenes at FT. With Airdrie going out the night before to struggling Dunfermline we knew we'd won the cup. That didn't stop us making heavy weather of it in the final of course!
