Great story of when Spurs (FA Cup holders at the time) were beaten by a team comprising of two Highland League Teams, Inverness Caley and Inverness Thistle, who were not even the best teams in Inverness at the time,
Interesting, the article notes that the Spurs manager, Peter McWilliam who was born in Inverness, assembled his team modelled on a possession-based style that had originated in Scotland.

Great read, so thought I would share.

Not as humbling as getting knocked out the Scottish Cup by Brora Rangers...

Good article. Fascinating to read of the PM at the time covening such a high-profile meeting in Inverness.

Interesting article. Says Thistle or Caley weren't top Inverness team that season so suppose Clachnacuddin finished higher in Highland League thst season. I saw Hibs at least twice v Caledonian and a gas inst Thistle too but only saw Clach v other teams in friendlies on days when Hibs weren't playing on Highland tours but I suppose we have played Clach.
