Never saw all of the game yesterday but interested to hear peoples opinion on McGrath since I’m sure some paid closer attention to him?

From previous games I thought he was a good player but wasn’t sure if scoring 12 or so pens last season made people think he’s slightly better than he is.

Was thinking about this before the game. Have to say between him and Scott Allan, given we'd have lost him to McGrath then Allan had the better of the game. Can't say I really noticed McGrath, not to say he wouldn't have been a good acquisition, just that Allan was the better of the two players on the day.

I thought he was pretty anonymous yesterday to be honest. Can't say I remember him doing anything of note. I think his brilliant penalties are helping to overhype the lad's overall ability for me.

Thought he looked neat and tidy. Think he'd look better in a better team.

I thought he had a few nice touches without standing out or influencing the game yesterday. I certainly wouldn’t be in a rush to swap him for Scott Allan based on yesterday’s showing.

Would sooner sign brophy. He had a much bigger impact

Scott Allan looked like he would’ve taken Hibs apart yesterday. Enough said.

Reminded me a bit of Mallan at St Mirren the last season we were in the Championship. Looked neat and tidy on the ball but didn’t really dominate the game in any way.

He didn’t look blessed with great pace to me but then again he possibly didn’t have many opportunities to drive forward in that way.

funny enough i was thinking brophy and nisbet could have been a good combination. brophy reminds me of james grady who was succesful in scottish leagues a few years ago.

Never even noticed him to be honest. I’ve always liked brophy would have taken him at Hibs but wouldn’t be a starter IMO
