100 goal strikers

I see that Mane has scored his 100th goal for Liverpool, days after Salah achieved the same milestone, albeit 100th Premier League goal that includes those scored elsewhere. Fancy having two strikers that score as many goals as that.

I know, if we did, they wouldn't be at Hibs long. But who gets the closest to that for Hibs in recent years.

Deek wasn’t far off anyway, 90 Hibs goals at a strike rate of 1 in every 2.5 (wiki). A bit more application and he would have reached 100.

GOC left Hibs aged 28/29, if he’d have looked after himself a bit better he would have had 5 or 6 more seasons to add to his 58 goals. (And we should never have sold him to Lokomotive Moscow just before the Hearts semi final in 2006, wrong move at the wrong time for both parties.)

90 league goals, yes. We're not likely to get anyone else even close to that in the future. An incredible but overall wasted talent. A player who should have played at a much higher level than he did.

I always wonder if playing together again they’d have screwed the nut had their second spells lined up, as O’Connor re signed the summer Riordan left which was a shame

The 2 of them could have done so much more. Riordan particularly was an incredibly gifted footballer, the best goal scorer I've seen at Hibs, better than Griffiths, better than Fletcher. The fact he left Hibs the 2nd time round at 28 after scoring over 100 goals for us and done nothing with his career after that is really sad.

We've had a number of great servants over the years who offered different qualities to the club so hopefully that trend continues, it certainly has currently with the likes of Stevenson and Hanlon who both continue to add to their club appearances.

As for a better team, sadly I think we'll be hard pushed to see anything approaching the likes of the Tornadoes again.

Along wi 118 first team games for Partick thistle best £35,000 Hibs ever spent. he also scored 11 goals against the hertz both for the Jags (2) and Hibs, from 31 games against them he was on the losing side only 6 times, Them was the days for sure. Not just a great servant for Hibs but a fantastic player who ended up playing full back as he got a wee bit slower.
