Turnstile shambles

What an absolute joke and embarrassment from hibs today. Hundreds of folk with declined season tickets and an angry group of saints fans who paid £26 with their paper tickets declining.
Huge queue outside ticket office still now and almost all of them are folk with declined tickets.
Stewards can’t do anything about but tell us to go to the ticket office.
Needs sorted pronto, and fail safe should this happen (ie manually checking tickets and letting people in the door).

Sailed in gate 14 and saw nothing of this shambles. Not saying it didn’t happen but no sign of it when I strolled in around 2:40

Shouldn’t be an issue. Stewards are supposed to have time to check people fir drinks/ weapons etc. Surely they have time to scan a QR code??

Saw many people trying to scan the tickets incorrectly. Had to help the person in front of me fold the paper and put it into the slot.

Chuck in the shambles at the kiosks as well. Might get something if you’re in at two o’clock or happy to miss a sizeable part of the game.

Maybe people will try get to the ground earlier if they have pre match stuff on the screens and the better food options, which is what the club are trying to do, instead of people all rolling up with 10 mins to go and getting them to spend money in the ground? Need to sort the queue issues out first of course and Ben mentioned on the Hibs Buzz interview that they know they havent got that right, I expect we are short staffed...

Quite a few had problems in FF Lower, though my ST scanned ok, from phone.

Never had problems , sometimes I wonder if these problems are user related rather than the system ?

People not putting the screen brightness up for example , not paying attention to it telling you to go through then missing the chance etc

My phone wouldnt scan in the east but my actual season ticket worked no problem

We were all gathered about trying to get it to work and the stewards just pointed us to the ticket office. We joined the queue and everyone in front of us was saying the same.
Then a group of SM fans came and joined the queue with paper tickets and they had the same issue with it declining.

I've seen a few people scan the ticket, the door clicks open and they are still waving the ticket around the scanner and they miss their chance. It then declines the ticket and they go and moan at a steward. N

The card was reading fine and it wasn’t anything to do with the reading, it actually came up “declined” on the screens. In the space of 5 mins at turnstile 17 it happened for at least 15 people. We were all gathered about trying to get it to work and the stewards just pointed us to the ticket office. We joined the queue and everyone in front of us was saying the same.

Not sure exactly why but it still let us through the gate after saying declined 3 or 4 times. Would have been a right pain if it hadn't worked though, the turnstile is far from seamless based on today's showing.

Lucky I was there early as mines got declined 3 times. There was a steward just outside the west stand that had a handheld scanner they were using to reset tickets to try again. Had to keep going back to him and there was a fair queue of people with same issue.

I had my card declined around 2:40 at turnstyle 24 as, clearly, did a couple others talking to the steward. He did somthing with a scanner/ appliance and I was able to use my ST successfully. I downloaded my ST to my Google pay wallet but my phone hits the limit of the scanner before the code gets anywhere near scanable. Glad I wasnt sent to TO as the queues were clearly growing.

When I was heading to the turnstiles I couldn’t believe how many folk were queuing up at the ticket office. I got it first time.

Obviously the uber fans in the East had no issues.
I arrived at 2.40 and was surprised to find no turnstile queues.
Got inside to find most of the East folk were already in gawking at the new screens and queuing for food.

Does the QR code number on your phone match the one on your season ticket?

I downloaded my ST to my Google pay wallet but my phone hits the limit of the scanner before the code gets anywhere near scanable.

I have the same issue with my phone & Google Pay, but I tried it upside down with the QR Code at the bottom of my phone & it worked fine.

I use an iPhone but had the same problem. I have to scroll down the screen to get the full QR code showing.

So, i did that and took a screenshot. Now all I have to do is scan the pic instead of using the wallet.

To cheer you up further the Rangers season ticket holders trying to access the section normally given to the away fans at Ibrox are having no end of problems getting into the stadium. Half time for some I read on their forum

Season ticket holders in the "red" zone (SE5 & SW1) have all been relocated, mostly to the Govan West corner, where away fans usually sit.

Arrived in queue today 2.15. Got in 2.55.

By this time, the queue was back the full length of the Govan stand to the megastore.

Not one steward outside.

Stand Supervisor wasn't interested.

Nobody to control the queue and only two turnstiles to cover the whole section. Police Inspector was very helpful and says he will take it up with the club as a safety issue, as queues outside after kick off are not permitted as they are a safety issue and could lead to a crush.

Loyal fans queued an hour and a quarter here for the old firm game, some only getting in at half time.

Yeah, QR codes should be identical. Email the ticket office they should be able to get a new card printed for you.
