Anyone know how many sponsors we have now. Seems to be a new one every week. Must add up to a healthy amount.

Hibernian FC have today announced IFX Payments as the official FX partner of the club.

What's their carbon footprint like?

Wasn’t one of Ron Gordon’s targets to have more commercial activity at Hibs whilst also trying to raise income from corporate entities? Don’t know enough about this area but it strikes me we are been run very differently from the Tom Farmer Hibs, in a business sense?

Oh how I miss the days of us having our commercial manager pissing off our main sponsor enough to stop them renewing their deal with us only to then not have a primary sponsor for two years.

Now we get to moan about having too many sponsors, mucking up the look of our kits and partnering with companies who might not have recycling facilities in their offices (shame! shame!) :greengrin

On a serious note, this is probably reflective of the work done on the back of the screens being installed. All these businesses are signing up to packages that will include matchday screen-time so it seems to be a popular tool now at our disposal that’s already generating money

Every sponsor that signs up is another advert on the big screens and more income into the club. Only beneficial in the long term.

Just as long as they don't all end up on the strip like Scarlets rugby.......https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&ccid=NQHyS9JI&id=B780A5115543AB464545C679A4ACE7E51F337D99&thid=OIP.NQHyS9JIdoJno9cftFgnkAHaHa&mediaurl=https%3a%2f%2fwww.nouveaumaillotrugby.fr% 2fimages%2fGuinness+Pro14%2fScarlets%2fMaillot_Sca rlets_Rugby_2018-19_Domicile_1.jpg&cdnurl=https%3a%2f%2fth.bing.com%2fth%2fid%2fR.350 1f24bd248768267a3d71fb4582790%3frik%3dmX0zH%252bXn rKR5xg%26pid%3dImgRaw%26r%3d0&exph=550&expw=550&q=scarlets+rugby+sponsorships+top&simid=608025682584019259&FORM=IRPRST&ck=3E427E69BB85DF7208A5B7E45C4CAA39&selectedIndex=2&ajaxhist=0&ajaxserp=0

I’ve read the Hibs statement and even went onto the new sponsors website and I’m still no closer to knowing what it is.

Foreign Exchange. They only accept euros in Paisley now for players.

One thing clear since Ron Gordon arrived is how much the whole club was stagnating under the previous regime.
Nothing is guaranteed but there could be exciting times ahead.

Do Hibs really need a Foreign Exchange partner?

I didn't think we were in that business.

Partner is just a synonym for sponsor in this context.

RG said from day 1 that he envisaged having several smaller deals as against 1 main deal. This is it happening, all good.

We’ve still got 1 big deal in the main sponsor and about 4/5 smaller deals!

I’m happy with that!

FX. I’m disappointed it’s not someone out the back banging half coconuts together, that sort of thing.

It sure does.

There is often a comment or two on here about the fans accepting mediocrity when someone suggests we might not be able to challenge for the league or the like but I think the real accepting of mediocrity came right from the top.

The transformation in our digital offering and in particular our commercial deals has been quite startling…seems clear to me that these opportunities were always there just not sought out with enough vigour.

Same goes for the stadium and many other areas of our business. Times are a changing and for the better I would say.

And if this is just the start I’m rather encouraged as to where this owner and his team can get us to in the next few years.

Yep, just shows how much money we lost under the previous regime by doing things like not having a sponsor for two seasons!

Imagine if 2016 didn't happen and all the spin offs we had from it. How would Dempsters tenure be viewed?

It's great to see ambition from Ron!

Well, we were playing to crowds of about 7,000 in the weeks leading up to the final so it's a very fair point. You never know what exactly is going on behind the scenes and how well we're doing but I didn't quite get her esteemed status amongst of fans. Full of bland meaningless corporate chat that I just couldn't take to.

Ron comes across really well and I really hope the fans buy in. It's totally depressing to see people actually complaining on twitter etc when the club announce a 'partnership'.
