My first thought was of the Father Ted episode, on the plane.

The priests all have a competition to draw a picture to see who gets a parachute as the plane was in trouble.

One young chap draws a picture of himself in the nude, having a pish, standing next a dog. He missed the start part though and had to be informed that he was, in fact, competing for a parachute in order to avoid certain death.

I reckon Neilson knocked out a quick sketch of himself in the scud, blissfully aware of the fact that he was actually trying to win a football match at the time.

To lower the tone by being serious, why did it need to be a note? Could he not trust a player to pass on a message?
