That is a better place for Efe than Livingston was where he looked like he was going through the motions
Hope Davidson can get him to tow the line and get him playing for real again.
Only 32 with no apparent injury issues.

He was absolutely dreadful for Livi the last time we played them. Looked finished.

I don't, I hope he goes in there with the same attitude he's always had and upsets the Apple cart.

He was part of the Nigerian squad who lost to Argentina in the final of the 2008 Olympics.

Loved Efe at Hibs. Esp in a back 3 when he roamed forward. Always taking risks, liable to make a howler too. Fun to watch

That was a great side.

IMO he was on course to be POTY but he left in the January window. He'd hardly given us any heart in mouth moments that season and IIRC, any that he had done he either actually had under control or managed to recover the situation.

Mind him tapping out goodbye Hibs and thank you on the post in morse code.

I’ll never forget his first game up at dundee Utd for us when he was on loan. Big deal had been made about him signing and how much of a bomb scare he was.

Simon Murray (playing for utd) ran at him with the ball full pelt and efe simply stood his ground and won the ball without barely moving.

My mate said he’s potentially been one of the best CB’s we’ve had in a decade and I tend to agree with him.

Good for us but woeful for Livi. Surprised he's got such a good move to be honest

Still rankles with me that he left, I get that he wanted more money that we could offer but he could have had so much more at Hibs.

He should never have left us. He was on top of his game but chased the money for 6 months at Derby to not even play.

Bit of a wild statement that, he’s more like zambernardi with a bit more football in him.

Who's been better?

There have been many many more technically gifted footballers at hibs in the last 20 years deek, griff, zemmama, boozy, brown, Thomo, Murphy, I would even say Mallan was more technically gifted, there has been plenty. Ambrose was fine but I think In his case absence has made the heart grow fonder.

Add frank to that list as well he just sneaks in your 20 years.

I would have Efe up there with Le God and King Paddy as all three were comfortable at Centre Half or sweeper with Efe I suppose being the comedy

I rate Efe that highly

He should never have left

A look at his career and sols should show that there is no comparison. Efes high was celtic where they thought he was a bomb scare, never got 1 start for derby. Sol played regularly for Leicester, leeds, trabzonspor and just signed for Middlesbrough aged 36

Yip but he was certainly a lot better than some of the others being mentioned

Always had a horrendous mistake in his locker but always seemed to get away with it but games at Killie and Aberdeen starting to emerge from my memory banks :greengrin

On his day a really cool player but that was when he could be bothered, not the most professional when it comes to time keeping and training and rankled a few senior players when he was here, quickly sodded off thinking he could get more cash elsewhere and came back to Livi, enough said.

Consistently good for Hibs, nothing to do with on his day. Easily our best defender for his time here.

Strange move in terms of him seeming settled enough at Livi to push them to bring in Omeonga. Quick question, if I may, how could St Johnston sign a player who is signed to another club outwith the transfer window?

Think he was a free agent, left Livvi in the summer
