I can't make the game on Saturday.

I believe hibs pass is still available, is this right?

I've often passed my ST on to others when I can't attend, if I do this, would hibs turn off my hibs pass?

Does anybody know or know who to ask?

Thanks

Firstly it’s on Hibs TV, not pass
I went to the Ross County game, was able to log on to watch the half time analysis
Not sure if I was able to do this, because half of the season ticket holders didn’t get in!

Hibspass doesn't exist anymore you'll watch it here;

https://hibstv.hibernianfc.co.uk/

As far as I'm aware season ticket holders will have access to the stream regardless of whether they are actually at the game or not.

Sorry. I know its not called Hibs Pass anymore, I was more looking for tips on whether I can lend my ST and still get access to the game

I don’t think there’ll be anyway they can switch Hibs tv off for only some ST holders based on if they’ve scanned their barcode.

Unless they switch it off for everyone you should be able to loan your ticket and see the game in the house.

I thought we got to see the games last season and the Ross County game this season because we couldn't access the stadium. Now everyone can so I doubt it will be free to anyone bar Hibs TV International

Would be unfair on a few fans, who are still uncomfortable at going to games
On the other hand leaves it open to abuse, could use a season ticket holders log in, and not buy a ticket for the game

Yeah I can understand people reluctant to go but the fact that they can now attend makes me think we wont be able to get the game on HibsTV, I may be wrong!

Yep please see my reply above yours.

Should be absolutely fine.

Not sure giving away your season ticket seat to someone who may likely pay to get in whilst watching the game is beneficial to the club. The club will be keen to encourage fans back, not have them sit at home tuning in through their mates season ticket hibs pass🤔 From my perspective it should only be available to overseas fans now the stadium has opened up.

I have to self isolate so can't make the Livingston game. Does anyone have the email address for me to offer my ST seat back to the club for this match?

That's the way I see it. Means the club loses out.

The game is on for £15.00 PPV. I reckon season ticket holders can access it then?

Yes season ticket holders will have access to view this match included within the costs of their season ticket.

Where are you reading this? I would have thought that if there is a PPV option, then everyone pays it.

Depends your view on this. I've leant my ST to others in the past, gotten people hooked and then they have gone on to be ST holders or regular PATG fans. I think giving someone a spare ticket is actually a great way to build the club and the club gains from it as a result

Log in to HibsTV and check upcoming events. Livingston game shows, "Live video and audio for all season ticket holders"

Some odd logic on here; why would ST holders be expected to pay twice??

They wouldn't. The stadium is open again.

I think the poster's referring to any season ticket holder who either can't make the game on Saturday or who doesn't quite feel comfortable with going back yet.

Indeed. If a ST holder can't make the game in person there's absolutely no reason why they should have to pay (again) to watch it on HibsTV.

Yes but in season's past, as a season ticket holder, if you couldn't make a game, you didn't get a refund. And that's the way it should be.

We got it fro free last year because we couldn't actually get to the ground, it's a different scenario now

Who said anything about a refund? There's a huge difference between a refund and effectively paying twice for the same thing, no? And in seasons past you could sell your seat back to the club for some games so in fact you could indeed get a refund, of sorts.

Either way there is an agreement in place this season that allows season ticket holders to watch all of their team's home league matches for no additional cost.

Precisely.

It's a strange one because despite the fact that I benefit directly from said agreement, I'm not 100% convinced I'm in favour of it. It does seem to be a potential dis-incentive to go to the game, and let's face it, we all want ER to be as full as possible for games.

I have missed 1 league game in a decade at ER(It still annoys me that game even though The Thes thumped us) but am likely to get a positive result for Covid today after my son brought it back from a fun night out. I'd feel a bit peeved missing the game on TV if the Government is saying I can't leave the house and my fellow fans certainly wouldn't want me there.

I hope the option to watch on TV remains, I'll probably watch it on IPTV anyways as that is just easier but nice to know I could access through Hibs TV if needed

Very good point JG ,, add in every chance of buying some merchandise from club shop and food from stadium.

The vast majority of ST holders are likely to attend and not share their ID with others. Some will. Hibs will be able to work out what the percentage of both entries being used and then decide if they need to do something.

There may be some people who will not want to go due to not feeling confident about mixing with a large crowd outdoors but have a season ticket so this deal is good for everyone. Who knows the technology could be in place to stop you watching on TV and passing over your season ticket.

Thanks everyone for the tips. It sounds like I'll be able to watch the game, even though I can't make it, which is great news.
I'll risk passing my ST over to someone else in the hope that they might decide to get a half ST in the winter (if they enjoy the experience)

I don't think it is wise for someone to scan the season ticket at the ground and for you to log into watch it online for the same game.

If the stream doesn't work, I'll get over it. Would only be keeping an eye on the score anyway

To scan your ticket then also log in to hibs TV takes away any dubiety that something dodgy is happening.

Mind you, you could argue you're at the game and it's your own 'big screen' :greengrin

I did it for the Ross County game.

I was at the game and logged into my own Hibs TV account to watch back a couple of the incidents that took place during the game.

It worked perfectly.

Yeah, I get that. I'd be giving it to somebody that would never dream of going to a game otherwise. Hopefully convert a new fan, so I cam only see potential upside for Hibs. Impossible to police if everyone is doing that though, so I suspect they will be working on a way to block streams if you scan in, which would be fair enough
