Sad to see he’s passed away, 58 years old.

Very funny guy, didn’t realise he had been ill.

RIP

Still a young man; cancer, reportedly. He always seemed a nice guy; it's a real shame.

Very sad, he was always one of the better panel show constants.

This is still one of the best I've seen

Sad to hear.

Rest in peace Sean.

Had wondered if he was ill when his voice had gone quite raspy on 8 Out of 10 Cats and he was looking thin.

One of my all time favourites, genuinely gutted by this news. He gave me some amount of laughs over the years.

He's looked ill for a while but I had no idea he was that ill.

A brilliant comedian. So much of his act was so simple but so funny.

Genuinely quite gutted reading the news earlier today.

Gutted to hear this, me and the missus used to go and see about 3 or 4 comedians at the festival every year for a good ten years before we had kids, he was by far the funniest comedian we ever had the pleasure of seeing live, someone that we both found genuinely hilarious, remember him telling a story about charity muggers that get called chuggers, he preferred to call them Chunts, he had perfect comedy timing

Bit of a shock that , he was 1 of the funnier comedians on the telly .

R.I.P

I too had no idea he was ill. Very sad news. I also seen him during the festival about 8 years ago. He was brilliant.

Might have to look out the dvd I have from that tour and give him a watch again.

RIP

I saw the thread title and thought "awe **** no" and hoped it was about a new tour or something. A genuinely funny guy who had me in tears sometimes. His facial expressions were a large part of his humour and his kids book "The tiger who came for a pint" had me in stitches. RIP

He was brilliant, a comedian who could properly crack me up laughing. Really gutted about this news.

It was a jolt to hear that Sean Lock had passed today, I hadn't realised he was ill. A very funny man indeed, I loved his sense of the surreal and the absurd and his dry as dust deadpan delivery. Always seemed a very likeable guy.

Rest in Peace.

He was one of those guys that even if you knew what the punchline was going to be it was still hilarious. Such a funny funny man RIP.

Lorraine Kelly-‘the hardest thing I ever had to do was write my column in The Sun’.
Sean Lock-‘What, morally?’

Caught some of his stand up on C4 last night. He will be sorely missed.

The tiger who came for a pint should be released and the profits to charity.
