Does everyone think that we should start with Dabrowski tomorrow? Jack Ross seemed to play the reserve goalie in the cups last season.

Is Paul Hanlon available and is Big Daz suspended?

Also be interesting to see if any of the young players get a chance. Tommy Wright had our number at St Johnstone so whatever team is selected will have to be at their best.

Why would Daz be suspended? Don't think he is?
I would play Macey. Important that we bounce back with a win

Sounding like a bad concussion

He never played in Europe so can’t imagine he will play in domestic cups. Surely if the agreement is the same as last year then it would be for all cup competitions.

Europe is treated like the league, so strongest team possible.

I think we’ll see Kev in goals tomorrow, otherwise he’d have been loaned out.

Is it? It’s a cup competition, last year we put Macey in for our huge Scottish cup games, no exceptions.

If he’s not playing at his age, he needs to be loaned out. He can’t at the moment as we only have 1 goalie if he goes

I’d have thought that when we brought Macey north, it was on the premise that he’d get the Scottish Cup games to stake a claim to be our number one the following season (even whilst there was a possibility that Marciano would remain).

There probably wasn’t any need to give Dabrowski any such promise or opportunity, he’s probably been signed as backup with injury or suspension being his biggest opportunity.

I expect Macey to play - but I’ve been quite impressed with Dabrowski when I’ve seen him and I’d quite like to see him get a chance at some point.

Sorry can’t remember. Sure he said it was due to concussion protocols.

Is it not? Would you like our second choice keeper in goals for a game that could make the club millions?

No, but I never wanted our second keeper in goals for a Scottish cup final either, which would’ve taken us a guaranteed step further (and at the time it was the understanding it was worth the same millions).

I agree I’d want the first choice in for finals however early rounds I see no issues with the second choice playing. When else would they play?

Macey hasn’t impressed. I would give Dabrowski a chance.

It’s a last 16 tie, strongest keeper in goals for me. It’s a cup I want to win and therefore we take no chances, Grof and Laidlaw have shown me what sub keepers can cause when thrown into ties.

He's here!

Pretty sure we gubbed them 4-1 at McDiarmid the last time we played them when Wright was in charge?

Whatever team we put out tomorrow it's imperative they win - otherwise we'll have gone from showering Jack Ross with praise to seeing the 'Ross out' thread back at the top of the board in just seven days...

Aye it would be quite a come down from a week ago only being left in the league and Scottish cup at this point in the season. I reckon questions would be asked, rightly or wrongly.

More questions would be asked of our recruitment than the manager - a couple of key players injured has shown us all just how poor/slow recruitment has been this summer and how JR has been hung out to dry by a total lack of options on our bench. For a club our size that bench kn Thurs night for a massive euro tie was disgraceful

I’d go with

Dabrowski

McGinn porteous mcgregor Stevenson

Gogic Allan Campbell

Wright Gullan Mackay

Other squad players have to be used due to injuries and take their chance

If Ross can’t play them they shouldn’t be at the club

I don’t think there’s a chance in hell, that will be the team, unless Boyle, Nesbit and Murphy are injured

Personally think that team would lose. Would play strongest team with possibly one or two in Allan and goalie.

It’s a cup tie, with a chance of a quarter final place , against a team who are well capable of beating us. We should play our strongest fit and available team
.

It's not about if they are good enough it's about cobbling a team together that haven't played together before. I'd like to think Jack Ross has more sense.

Agree this a difficult game against a team who have started the season well and will see this as a big opportunity given our injuries and game in Croatia on Thursday. Can't stand Tommy Wright so hope we do them over.

It's never easy playing teams that have just been relegated as we saw first hand last season. They've had a lot of personnel changes but they will still have a point to prove. Wright will have them well up for this. Strongest team possible.

“Scott Allan also didn’t fly to Croatia. The midfielder remains sidelined after coming off in our 3-0 win over Santa Coloma at Easter Road last month”

Taken from the match preview on Hibs site. Does this mean he is unavailable today? Threw me off because he has appeared as a sub since the Coloma game so not sure what to take from that.

He's come off the bench a couple of times since then - so he's not been sidelined since then.

Any communication from Hibs to do with Scott Allan seems to be a bit cryptic - probably necessary if we're dealing with health issues as much as injury ones, so there will always be a bit of second guessing as to what they're trying to tell us.

He might be fit to play. He might not. Until we see him on the pitch in the green and white, who knows?
