What do you think we can do this year? This is the first time we’ve kept a good squad together and it’s really showed in our games so far. I reckon we can be very competitive in the league and be in with a shout in the cups. A win in Croatia and the sky’s the limit.

Exciting times ahead, we just keep adding quality to our team.

Genuinely think we'll have a really good solid season with this squad. Especially with Magennis and Murphy stepping up significantly and JDH has looked a cracking addition. We're playing very good entertaining football and have arguably imo the best forward line in the league in Nisbet, Doidge and Boyle. We'll win more than we lose and here's hoping we can add silverware to the trophy cabinet. Certainly a distinct possibility with the squad we have atm.

A very interesting season ahead. I'm very happy with how we've started and the football we've played. With some quality additions to the squad so far as well having the extra depth and holding onto our best players we're looking strong.
I think if we can come out the other end of this window with a couple more additions (extra striker and a centre half?), reman in all our cups and in still unbeaten I might even start to believe in something special for this season .
That being said I am a Hibs fan and know that as good as things can be were always a honking defeat away from deflating us and sending us back to earth with a bump, but until that happens I'll enjoy myself.

We need to sign another striker, didn’t have one on the bench for the cup final and if Nisbet or Doidge gets injured then we are really toiling

If we don't bring it another striker, we're going to struggle with any injuries, suspensions etc up front. All well saying Mueller, but he's not arriving until January and there's a LOT of points to be won and a league cup to play before then.
We really must bring in another centre half as well.
Centre half and a striker IF no one leaves. If anyone leaves, then they need replaced as well as bringing in those two positions.
As for what we can achieve, 3rd place is up for grabs again but it will be tough with Aberdeen and Hearts challenging too. Realistically, we should be looking to win one of the cups too. Not any 'reach a final' stuff. Win one.

We need two or three new players that can help us stop conceding goals from crosses into the box.

I reckon 3rd-5th and hopefully group stages of Conference League. We won’t win a cup IMO as we couldn’t win one last year with the best opportunity we’ve had.

Maybe the players have learned from last season’s shortcomings in the cups . This could turn out to be a special season and a quality striker and defender would definitely help .

I dont think we will make Europen groups this season, but it might not be a terrible thing as next year the cup winners (or third place) will make the groups for sure. With that added certainty, someone could properly invest in their squad.
I think if we make Europe, 5th is the best we can hope for with our squad size

Maybe that's where we've got to but Ross was still saying he wanted a striker after his signing was announced.

A good win against Celtic in a game where they hardly touched the ball and a win in paisley where they played well for 20 minutes.
They have some decent players in starting 11 but very little out with that. They'll be challenging for top 6 this year if Craig Gordon stays fit and relegation fodder if he doesn't.

If we just had the league to worry about I think we'd have a really good chance of bettering last season but I don't think our squad is big enough to play Thursday/Sunday every week. I think we need two or three bodies in still.

Yep, we've gone public saying we want another striker and a centre back so anything less would be disappointing.

I personally think a right back is more important than a centre back with Cadden out. McGinn gets injured and we are back to putting Boyle there which negates his attacking prowess. McGregor can come in at centre half, McGinn can go into centre half. I’d obviously like both but if it’s a choice between one or the other then it’s a right back all day for me.

That’s quicker than I expected, hadn’t seen any news since they said it was a fractured back, thought that would’ve been fairly long term. If that’s the case perfect, was hoping he would kick on and become our first choice right back.

With the squad we have we'll be favourites for third. A couple loans for backup should shore things up.

I've noticed a big move away from loans in the last couple of seasons which is great but they have their uses too and wouldn't be disappointed to see a couple come in to shore things up like you say. Especially if we continue in Europe.

Sure he said on Hibs TV yesterday he hopes to be back in full training in a couple of weeks. So I'd guess at least a month away from playing.

Personally I’d have JDH as first choice now and Gogic behind him but when you look at that team sheet it’s very decent with a bit of depth.

If we can get a backup Centre Half in and another Striker we'll be looking very good!
