Don't know why they aren't showing this live on Hibs TV. All I've seen of our youngsters is a few clips. Be nice to regularly follow their progress.

Elgin will be getting a cut of the gate tonight. Anything however small that affects that will be a no go.

I’m down at the game, it would be nice if we could even tweet the team.

Edit - I see Elgin have a couple of lads with cameras so hopefully there will be highlights.

The boy molotnikov is prob still 15. I coached him for a few years. Anyone watching tell me where they are playing him?

Why isn't there even a lineup on Hibs' twitter for this game? It'd be good to see what team we had out. If the likes of Johnstone and Laidlaw are playing it bodes well.

Cheers! Is Ethan Laidlaw on the bench? Or is he injured does anyone know?

Wow! 15! What type of player is he? Midfield - defensive or attacking? Striker?

Is he someone you think has got some potential?

Goal for Elgin - Hester finishes from close range. Looked like a foul on Murray in the build-up; Hibs players and coaches not too happy. Hibs B 0, Elgin 1 after 35 minutes

He was a physical wide player when I had him. He’s been at Hibs since he was 11 though. They pinched 7 of our players. He’s the only one still there I think.

Hibs line-up: Johnson, McCulloch, Blaney, Fairley, MacIntyre, Aiken, Hamilton, Murray, Molotnikov, Young, O’Connor.Sky has this team with Fordyce for Molotnikov . Subs Laidlaw , Blair , Wylie , Watt and Reilly . Interesting that this competition is on Sky scoreboard but last Thursday they only had Europa League but not our Euro competition .

It may well as the Hibs captain shook hands with one of the Elgin players just before kick off.

Hibs young lads are competing very well but there is a power and pace from much older men that at times is hard to live with.

Crowd is around 120.

Hester was the player who committed the shocking foul, rake down the achilles, in LC a couple of years ago.

Thanks. Physical. Good - modern football needs athletes. Does he have technique too that can be developed?

Enjoyed that tonight. Thought Hibs competed quite well and ended the game strongly. The number 3 for Hibs looked very young but loved a tackle.

He struck me as a very determined young man. School leaver this summer I’d presume?
