Looking for some advice regarding the hospitality packages on offer, having never been before.

For Kilmarnock game its a choice of Gallery Restaurant @£125, or Capital Suite @£95, only difference seems to be the ''Complimentary bar, with wine on your table on arrival'' that you get in the Gallery. Which would suggest the wine & complimentary drink must be worth at least £30 to make it worthwhile, assuming the 3 course meal is same menu in both?

So the key question I suppose is, how much wine is on the table, what are the times for complimentary bar, and how much is the average thirsty person likely to be able to consume?

Not been there since pre lockdown obviously but always used to opt for the dearer package to sample the full experience

Free bar on arrival 12-12.30pm- 2.30 pm

Complimentary Programme three course meal in the nicer restaurant which was half way up the stairs? Compere / Comedian and Club Ambassador King Paddy

Decent padded match day seats

Pie and tea/coffee at half time no alcohol

Free Bar post match until close usually 6 or 6.30pm

Man of the match intro

Beer and wine was plentiful no complaints

Just tipped the waitress to look after us every time there was an empty glass and wine was always replaced

Food was obviously brought in from outside but decent

Don’t know what it is like under the new regime

Enjoy

I think I’m the fine print it says a maximum of 8 drinks per person, but my group certainly got our money’s worth from the free bar.

Anyone able to shed a light on what hospitality is like for access? My grandad is turning 86 and I was thinking about taking him to hospitality at some stage this season - he hasn’t made a game for over 15 years since he had a knee replacement and his mobility issues have really hit his confidence, but after the year we’ve had, he’d love to get in the ground again.

The hospitality area in the stadium's definitely not suitable for wheelchair users if your grandad's in a wheelchair but you do get allocated a space in the wheelchair section in the west stand. However I'm not sure if that will be available on Sunday as I believe Kilmarnock's wheelchair users will occupy the disabled section of the west stand for this game.

The actual hospitality area where you get food and drink is fully accessible and there is a lift.

If he's able to walk there are a few stairs to negotiate in order to access the seating area in the west stand.

Thanks for info, so 3 or maybe 4 hours drinking in total, even if its 8 drinks maximum, plus wine on table, it seems reasonable provided you get your full quota in! Which should be enough for most to be fair.

A friend and I booked the Capital Suite for the game vs Kille & just received the itinerary which looks great apart from the requirement to complete a lateral flow test prior to attending the stadium and show proof of a negative result on arrival.

I've queried it as it seems complete overkill. The guy has come back & said there are still restrictions on hospitality venues but I don't see anything requiring this on the scot.gov site.

Anyone else been to hospitality and had to provide proof of a negative test?

I don't believe there's any legal requirement to provide a negative test in order to attend a hospitality venue. This sounds like a Hibs rule.

I don’t think it’s a legal requirement but it’s a sensible precaution surely? The tests are free and it only takes a few minutes.

I was at Musselburgh Races last Friday and they asked for 2 negative Covid tests prior to attending with 1 being within 48 hours of attending. All my group did that but none of us were asked to show our negative results on entry. It was outdoors with no indoor hospitality and lots of social distancing. Although when the heavens opened and it started pouring with rain, every one crammed under the 1 marquee available and social distancing was non existent.

I was then pinged by the Protect Scotland AP on Saturday telling me I had to self isolate & book a PCR test as I had been a close contact of someone on Friday who had tested Positive. That may not have been from being at Musselburgh racecourse though.

I went to a comedy show the other day and you had to show you'd had a negative test result. The test kits are free, you can get them from a chemist or get them sent to your house. You do the test yourself and get the result in half an hour. You get the test result sent to your phone or email. It's very easy.

Would you mind sharing the itnerary?

On the tests, these were required for the games at Wembley during Euros, bit of a nonsense as nobody knows if you've actually done the test or not, and they were hardly scrutinising them on the way in. I know people who just scanned the QR code, and registered a negative result without even taking the test. Though personally I've been doing at least 2 tests a week for couple of months, always try to do one on day of a game, or night out etc.

Cheers for the replies. Was surprised it wasn't stipulated before booking & no details about when you need to do the test or how you show the result.

Also says no football colours, jeans or trainers which I think is a bit more strict than previous years.

Regarding the 8 drink limit, I can confirm from past experience that this is not enforced and if you so wish, you can absolutely end up Brahms and Liszt.

No probs - hopefully it's attached.

I'll do the testing but it seems a nonsense if they're not going to police it properly to protect the staff and other guests.

The tests are free , I’ve been doing 2 a week since we could get them, generally an extra one if I’m off out or going round to the parents , just seems right thing to do

Went to mates a few weeks ago for drinks and BBQ and he asked everyone to do one before coming round which to me seems safe and sensible

There's 7 test kits in a box.

You swab your throat & nose. Dip the swab in a fluid the place drops of the fluid on a test strip. Wait 30 minutes then the markers on the strip tell you if your positive or negative. You then go on online to gov.uk record your result and you get a confirmation reply by email and/or text. It really is a quick and easy process.

Got to meet Alan Stubbs and John Doolan. Irvine Welsh also said a few words. Also got my picture with the Scottish Cup. It was a great sesh.

Hospitality now on sale for all League matches - only one package though?
Just the Gallery with complimentary bar.

STH discount only appears to be applicable to adult season ticket holders, which is a bit crap when they can re-sell your ST seat.

Yes colours haven't been allowed for at least a few years (since I made my first appearance in hospitality).

Apparently no plans for further packages at the moment - only the Gallery will be available.

This is due to the requirement for Red zones for players and staff, this is preventing the Clubhouse suite from opening & will remain the case for some time, so there will be a significant loss of revenue due to this requirement.

Pretty sure I have always been in the Gallery if that is the one situated in the ‘Museum ‘

The Clubhouse was always for snacks and a pay bar IIRC

A loss of invaluable revenue nevertheless

Presumably this "red zone" (I only heard about this the other day when Celtic used this term to explain why they weren't giving Hearts any tickets at the weekend) is in place due to football players still needing to adhere to social distancing from fans as they cannot afford to catch Covid-19 due to the impact it would have on fixtures?

If so then I'm assuming this is an SPFL rule rather than a local council/Scottish Government initiative?
