Bit worried by the amount of cases. Call the league, give us the trophy and relegate Hearts as that’s the precedent set.

With next weekend being the league cup weekend we'll be top for a couple of weeks at least. We are well worth it so far as well. We welcome the chase :greengrin

BBC report opens with 'Hibs joined Aberdeen and Hearts at the top of the Premiership...'

Just me or is there something a bit snide/yammish about not simply saying 'Hibs went top of the Scottish Premiership'?

I noticed that as well. We didn’t join them, we are clear at the top.

You can understand the joined Hearts bit because they were on 6 points yesterday but not Aberdeen. Our game finished before their's and they only got their winner in the 4th minute of extra time.

Correct.

The league table never lies
The cream always rises to the top
Every team finds its level
Top of the league on merit

Hopefully longer - we play Dundee whilst Hearts host Aberdeen, so something will have to give there.

Dundee off the back of a gubbing with their first choice left back suspended. Good chance to stay top and really start to feel like it could be a special season. The second leg of the Euro Tie and the league cup tie will make a massive difference to our moods too. If we play like we did in the first half then I feel we will win all three of those games

Aberdeen usually kack it at the Tinydome, 3 wins in their last 17 games there

Maximum points before the derby in mid September seems very feasible. Plus progress in the League Cup.

Glass has the sheep playing completely differently than Mcinnes though (who I imagine was the manager for a good chunk of those games?). Might actually be an exciting game to watch if Aberdeen go for it!

Mcinnes vs levein games would have been considered a form of torture...

Yes the Aberdeen reference is completely wrong but even the 'joined Hearts' bit is inaccurate. It should surely say something like 'leapfrogged Hearts'. If that was the final league table we'd be champions, not joint champions.

Hibernian FC webpage just states it as it is with no digs about our city neighbours - "Hibernian produced a stunning performance to sweep aside Ross County 3-0 and move top of the cinch Premiership this afternoon." In fact, they never mentioned Hertz at all.

If that was the other way around they would have had their digs about replacing the Hibees at the top. Let's hope they don't get that chance this season...ever!

Strutting into work today and talking about the football to anyone who will listen or at least fall within earshot is a good feeling.

Can only assume it's been edited since you posted this as it states in the first sentence '...3-0 win over Ross County took them top of the Scottish Premiership.'

Though agree there were numerous references to Hearts 'top of the league' and '100% record' on Saturday evening before most teams even had the chance to play their 2nd game!

Realistic chance of staying there for the next few weeks now.

Dundee away and Livingston at home this month.
Should be 12 points out of 12.

Tonight was *****.

Still top of the league though. Let’s build on that, get a few more bodies in and have an excellent domestic season. We’ve got a good squad of players here - tonight a moment of madness changed the game - it did not define our season however.

100% agree, no time for any hangover on Sunday, we need to take all our frustrations out on Kilmarnock.

I hate a positive thread!😂 It's a shame we never won today but we got back into a game we were really struggling in to take the lead. We were without Hanlon, Newall and each of our centre forwards.

Our competitors drew today which was a real missed opportunity for Hearts after Aberdeen's long trip in midweek.

A lot still to be positive about.Still in a great position to challenge for third.

Bring on Livingston.
