Looks like a far improved player this year. Scotland has done him the world of good.

I'll now be gutted if he leaves this year. Sorry for ever doubting you

The “back to goal” stuff was better than I can ever remember from him.

It would be brilliant for us if we were able to hang onto him.

We won a watch signing Kevin

Far better footballer than I ever dreamed

Link up play is fantastic and works his backside off

Easily better than Dykes or Adams for Scotland too

Looking sharp, his side footed shot off the post was class, just needed an inch of bend on it. Sadly though, like Doig another we may never see in the flesh

Best player on the pitch today. His calmness in front of goal sets him part from a lot of the better strikers in Scotland and is why he'll be a top striker in a better league. Outstanding today and will be sorry to seee him go.

Brilliant to see him dropping deep, controlling the ball so well and spreading it to others. Helps the team get up the pitch and his composure in the box was brilliant.

Great player and desperately hope he stays. Celtic are the perfect example right now (as we have been in the past) that selling your top players for big money means a huge drop in performance on the park without sizeable reinvestment. Hope we don’t go down that path with Doig, Boyle and Nisbet.

Doig seems to be away so let’s keep the other two.

He absolutely was. He was the best player on the park by a long way, his movement and ability was excellent. Watching him in that game you could see he’s a cut above the rest. He didn’t always get the service, but when he did he very rarely wasted it. When Doidge came on and he had a bit of help he was immense. His shot that hit the post set up the equaliser and his shot that hit the defenders are led to the winner. I’d be very worried if he was to leave as it’s almost impossible to replace that kind of quality on our budget.

To be honest as much as I thought Kev played so well today I thought the big dutch lad up front for Well was the MOTM. He caused us all sorts of problems and will bag a few for Motherwell this season.

He was excellent yesterday some of his link up play and his effort for the second goal was brilliant. Honestly can't remember him giving up possession much unless you are counting him losing headers to bigger centre halfs. Looked to me a much improved player and think we will get a few bids prior to the transfer window.

He will occasionally give the ball away as he doesn’t just try and hold it and shield, he’s always looking at ways to turn defenders, find a yard of space. Top quality player who will make us a fortune thankfully.

Oh dear!

Sometimes takes him a couple of touches for him,to get into his stride so I sort of know what you mean ?

Maybe he is thinking ahead to his next move when the ball comes ?

Please bear in mind in his first season in the Premiership he scored 18 goals for us but in watching him in albeit closed doors games which is far from ideal his vision, link up play, phenomenal work rate, hold up play, awareness and finishing is second to none Add to that he is a team player always urging on his team mates and always making himself available for the out ball His attitude is fantastic and he is totally focused always looking to score and I like how he always chooses to pass the ball into the net rather than blast it

We are lucky to have him

Don't get me wrong, on the occasions he had good possession he was great, but he gave the ball away plenty yesterday. His hold-up play is generally pretty poor but yesterday it was awful. One mi**** hit lay off ended up with Macey having to make a one on one save

I'm not questioning his goals and I think he's great when he's got it under controland in possession but his hold-up play is really poor and he really struggles to play back to goal.

It needs to improve drastically if he wants to take a step up. At the moment he needs a partner and the problem that presents to him is that a front 2 is very rare at the top level.

I've said when he was in possession he was excellent. I was talking about his hold up play. If it's played into his feet with defender up his backside, it's odds on he'll lose it, which is what happened yesterday.

Please also bear in mind that for 60% of yesterday’s game he was upfront on his own surrounded by three giants

Happy with his three assists as I am sure both he and Jack Ross are as well as his total contribution to a great victory

I take your point on board and will be on the look out for it going forward

Tend to agree if the first post had been a reasonable summary of his performance recognising the excellent contribution he made while indicating he may have held the ball up better on occasions fair enough. But no pile in with his hold up play was an abomination and nothing else which frankly is nonsense anyway. Honestly thought that was his best game for Hibs by a distance.

If we are cashing in our chips with Josh Doig, I'd like to see us show some ambition and keep our other sought after players young players like Kevin and Porto with appropriate financial incentives. Providing they steer clear of injuries these boys are only going to get better and better and when we eventually sell, it'll be for much more than is being offered now.

I don't think we could match on basic salary but I'm sure we could be creative with regards to bonuses/percentage of eventual transfer fee etc. I don't think any of these boys are desperate to leave Hibs, they all seem genuinely happy at the club and if we can close the gap between what we can pay them and what they can get elsewhere, then the potential payday that they could get get along with being a club where they enjoy their work and can develop themselves will maybe keep them here that little bit longer. We should at least be trying to keep them longer.

Get McGinn to have a word with Nisbet about not leaving Hibs too soon. Compare to Jason Cummings who would have benefitted from a year in the top flight with us before leaving. Instead he chose to chase the £££s. McGinn could have left at the same time Cummings did but realised the value of staying 1 more year.
