As one of a steadily diminishing band who actually saw the famous five in action I need some guidance. We all know that the forward line read from right to left Smith, Johnstone, Reilly, Turnbull and Ormond. Why does my now somewhat shaky memory bank have me thinking Bobby Johnstone in the number 10 shirt which I would have thought was Inside Left. They most certainly wore numbers as I remember Willie Ormond appearing right in front of me wearing his number 11. The odd thing was, at that time, that he was running down the right wing.

Ah! Happy days.

He wore 10 for City in the 55 FA Cup Final, if that's any help.

I have him in the 9 shirt but I recall a European cup tie when he swapped with another player ( name escapes me)as the Bakerboy was a marked man...

I never quite understood this given we had already played Roma at ER and Joe had scored. Mind you it's not as bad as The Rangers not being able to tell the difference between Joe McBride sen and Peter Marinello!!

Nello was like a knife through butter running through the middle of that Rangers defence

Rangers couldnae handle him ended up scoring a double

Another tactical masterstroke was ET switching Arthur Duncan to the right wing second half down the slope against Sporting Lisbon - laid on three goals-and giving Wee Mickey a free role to cause mayhem
