Live on Sky at 2300 Sunday.

A reminder that our new signing will hopefully show us what we're getting in January.

A very interesting signing. Hes pulled up a few trees in the MLS. Having said that after he signed earlier in the week I did stay up all night , well till after 3 am to watch his last game, To be honest he was disappointing and was replaced after 75 mins. Obviously signing for Hibs had gone to his head :greengrin

I watched the game too and wasn't sure about the team tactics helping him out much. They seemed to be sitting back and he was having to drop deep to even get a touch.....

Watched a few MLS games there are some good players in that league. The standard is not that bad. Could be a good market to look at. Some of the players could see us as a stepping stone to putting themselves into the shop window to play in Europe. Could do loan deals for players in January window. A few are now doing well in Europe
I am sure that Ron is probably looking at this. I don't think MLS players earn that much sure there may be a ceiling on salaries they are allowed to pay big stars a good salaries .

MLS is a decent standard and i think has taken advantage of the wages being paid in South America. In Europe its still regarded as a place to earn a few quid at the end of your career. For South American players its somewhere to earn good money at the height of your career if you havent been picked up by a top end European Club.

The minimum salary is £53,000 per year and average £212,000 - they have some individuals on big money which will distort that average. Those are converted into £ figures.

Was thinking there must be more Christian Pulisics out there, the American national side are no slouches.

Hope they pump NYCFC. Absolute joke they play in a baseball stadium except when they want and they have to use their rivals stadium.

Go get a hat trick Chris lad!

I see Nani’s not in the squad either, who was also a guaranteed start, so maybe the squad’s just been rotated?

Either that, or he could be on his way here early 👀.

Nani looked injured when he was substituted in their last game.

Commentators speculating that his omission from the squad could possibly mean his move to Scottish club Hibernian could be brought forward 6 months.

Like I say pure speculation.

It wasn’t quite as definite. He said it was maybe an indication that the move could be sooner.

Does the selling team in America get the money when a player is sold? I thought it was a central system where all the contracts and wages are paid by the league. If so there’s not much incentive for Orlando to sell him.

Did they badly miss Nani and Mueller?
I looked at their squad a couple of days ago and thought their bench was weak compared to the starters.

My friend is one of the S&C coaches/physiotherapist. Very much a B team and they have two big games coming up.

He said he fist pumped Mueller after he signed for Hibs so that is cool.

That would be fantastic. We've looked sharp so far in pre season but still lacking another option up front.

I'm trying not to get carried away but I really like the sound of Mueller.

Think an Orlando official tweeted that wasn't the case.

From what i could figure out it seems that the selling club get either a proportion of the transfer fee after the league take thier cut or an adjustment on the team's annual budget, allowing them to spend more money during the season or something.

I have to assume that Orlando would have the final say on accepting a bid but it doesn't seem like there is a huge amount of benefit to them in just taking a nominal fee compared to keeping the player for the season and helping them finish in a higher position in the league.

All quiet on his Instagram 😂, although there would have to be a flight from Orlando area arriving here at some point if he was signing early so I’ll keep an eye out on any unusual activity 👀
