I believe the ballot is working now but I had the same problem initially.
Got in now so fingers crossed - Sunday working means I might miss out on a couple of games as long as we remain in Europe:pray: but I can make this Sunday for sure.

I get that Thursday and Sunday are different however I firmly believe that any Season Ticket holder who does not get a ticket for Thursday should be guaranteed a ticket for Sunday as that would be a fair process and in reality will not be a significant number of people. Some will be lucky and get to both but we should be doing our best to be fair.

That said, this is a poor decision and looks like its because Sturgeon still not allowing large stadium events even from Monday. There is no reason we couldnt get 10k spread across the whole ground.

Can anyone believe for the “foreseeable future” we need to rely on the Edinburgh Council to tell us how many fans we can have at home matches.

So assuming they are not blessed with the skills a d therefore not prepared to do this will any level of sophistication- they will almost certainly default to a level of 5k+ probably no more than 6500 until someone tells them differently.

NS has just passed the buck but doesn’t trust the clubs or governing body to take a sensible and measured approach. This and asking kids to continue to wear masks in school for 7 hours a day is just beyond me. My son starts high school and as we all know it’s a big deal. Sick of this ****. She just can’t let go.. and winter is coming.

This "We are delighted" obsequious claptrap has had its day, particularly on the back of what Sturgeon has just announced.

The biggest issue for me is that this disproportionately impacts a small number of clubs.

Ross County, Livingston etc can accommodate all their ST holders plus walk ups plus a few away fans no bother. Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen, those 2 in Glasgow and Dundee Utd are going to be hit hardest financially as it stands. We have to shell out on various things just to accomodate our ST holders with no additional income for doing so. We are being shafted.

Clubs need to stop doffing their caps, saying how delighted they are, offering sycophantic thanks and instead grow a set.

Surely if councils start being awkward when there’s no distancing requirements the clubs can take them/the government to court. There’s absolutely no reason capacity crowds aren’t allowed from Monday. Will be interesting to see what Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen and St Johnstone get for their European games next week. Aberdeen in particular since their council seem to have been one of the worst

There isn't anything, in theory, stopping Hibs from having 20,000 at home after next Monday if the council allows it.

Except unfortunately, Rangers are barely impacted. They've not got space for walk ups.

Us, Hearts, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and possibly Celtic do too. We're having an income stream removed whilst having to provide another option for fans.

Rangers are just having to provide another option for fans.

Again not clear nut presumably now if there is "no legal requirements for social distnacing" away teams will go back to chnaging in the main stand thus opening up use of away stand ?

Some protective measures will stay in place such as the use of face coverings indoors and the collection of contact details as part of Test and Protect. Capacity limits of 2000 people indoors and 5000 people outdoors will also remain in place although some exceptions may be possible on a case by case basis. These will be reviewed on a three weekly basis to ensure they remain proportionate

That’s actually worse than I thought, I thought we could get full capacity with approval from the council but it sounds like nothing has changed?

It sounds very much like Hibs have taken the decision not to include the North and South stands currently. The new CEO has been talking about remedial activity being carried out there as well as fitting of big screens at some point, somewhere.

A little odd if that impacts into the season starting but it may have been a case of the Council saying they'd prefer smaller numbers right now and Hibs taking account of that to get some needed works in.
