Even with the Euros going on, i don't remember such a quiet, uneventful, close season in Scottish football.

There's been hardly any news at all, not meaning Hibs, just Scottish football in general.

Last year we had the Hearts stuff to keep us occupied and there would usually be something to laugh at Rangers about.

This year, nothing.

I've maybe missed some news but transfer activity seems to have been sparse too.

Even this board is as quiet as I can remember. Very few new threads with the same ones staying on the front page for ages with few replies.

Personally, I don't feel a buzz about the new season yet despite us playing in Europe next week. It all just feels a bit flat.

I'd love to hear an announcement that there will be no restrictions on numbers of home fans for our opening league game. Give me something to look forward to.

Last summer we had Hearts being relegated about 3 times, we had them going to court and going to be awarded millions of pounds in compensation only to loose that and have to pay costs. We also had Budge going for league reconstruction only to fail in that as well. Every day brought a smile to my face 😁

And Leslie 'Squealer' Deans.

His radio interview was the stuff of dreams.

There was also the fellah that had the champagne ‘on ice’ for about six weeks while he waited on Leslie Deans phoning him.

Never mind the run in, we have a season to look forward to of us challenging for silverware and them getting relegated again while they spout some nonsense about us always being in their shadow and this somehow being that being 'pleasing'. Used to hate Hearts, now they seem to provide me with amusement.
