Is anyone in a position to let us know when the tickets for our first European game at home for too long will go on sale please?

We don't even know who we're playing yet, the second leg of the previous round is played tonight so it will probably be announced on Friday.

My flashscore app says it's on Bet 365's website but you'll probably be required to have a bet on to watch it.

For the first leg, it was fine just to have money in your account to watch it.

Does that make any real difference though?

It's going to be at home irrespective of who gets s through unless I'm missing something

There is also the small matter of how large a crowd we will be allowed.

As for the who, should know by 7:30 tonight.

Clubs will be pushing for the maximum with social distancing factored in and then maybe expecting that to be cut back by local authorities, who need to be seen doing something. So, Hibs will push for 9,000 and maybe get 4,000 or 5,000 with some bargaining and good will.
Definitely not a time for throwing the toys out of the pram like the Aberdeen chairman…

Suppose it could get changed if too many teams want to use the stadium in Gibraltar on the same day? They might swap the home legs.

The Hibs statement last week seemed quite confident of a much bigger crowd than 2,000 if we moved to level 0 so hopefully that’s what happens

Aberdeen's hoping to have 5,655 at their match.

I'd be a wee bit disappointed with that if I'm honest.

I really thought between 6-8k might have been allowed but there we go.

It will be interesting to see whether they allow a maximum number of spectators across the board like they did when we were in level 2 (i.e. 2,000 maximum) or if they allow clubs to have a certain % of their stadium's capacity.

Allowing 5,655 fans into Ibrox and Parkhead would be a bit silly.

I think it’d cover most of the season ticket holders who actually want to go.

Combination of opposition, folk still on holiday and some folk still not keen on going back, I think it’d be a healthy enough number (even if I’d like us to get more in).

So how busy was the main stand in terms of a % ? Surely we could safely increase to the same % across the whole stadium.

I would imagine that would be at least 6,000.

I was replying to your comment that it would be silly to only allow 5655 into either parkhead or ibrox . As the Huns are only allowed 2000 on Saturday any increase even if it’s only up to 5655 should be seen as a bonus It was not a comment by myself on levels.

Yes but my earlier comment made reference to whether there would continue to be a blanket number of people allowed at games from Monday or whether it would be a percentage of a stadium's capacity.

Whilst I'm aware there's only 2,000 people allowed into Ibrox at the weekend, it is apparently the rule for level 2 areas that only 2,000 spectators are allowed entry, regardless of how large the stadium is.

I'd like to hope that a bit of sense is applied for level 0 and clubs with bigger stadia are allowed more people - having the same cap on numbers at Ibrox or Parkhead as The Simple Digital Arena doesn't make any sense to me.

If this was the method, the steward at the door would have to check an image displayed on the phone of every person that enters the ground. They'd have to check that the test was negative and that the date and time stamp for the image was correct. There would be no way of knowing that the person took the photo themselves or if it was a shared image.

The time required to get everybody into the ground would be ridiculous if it was done properly and if it wasn't done properly there would be no point to it at all.

Not to mention the fact that any steward checking photos on phones would not be able to properly distance from the person showing them it.

I can't see this happening.

Hibby70

I assume you need to have the QR code from the test to then report it. But nothing to really prove that you have in fact carried out the test.

For the Scotland game at Wembley they had a Covid check on the approach to the stadium. You had to show a Vax Status letter or negative test to get through to the turnstiles. All fair enough and fairly straightforward. However, the stewards were just glancing at the letters. No check that it was mine, no cross referencing of name on the letter and ticket, no ID requested. It was a complete waste of time.

I know if that happens at ER the only one that would get checked would be mine. And they’d find something wrong. :greengrin
