The semi vs Portugal was moved at last minute from Goodison to Wembley. Portugal had to take a long train journey from Liverpool to London and book into emergency accommodation with no training facilities. Mum and I had tickets for Goodison which were never refunded. Could not afford to go London. All of this a good reason when visiting Portugal to make it clear you are Scottish not English.

Eusebio was black and blue after semi. Portugal were allowed to kick Pele off the park. It was Portugal’s Scotland vs England. Was at the game and Pele made a Sterling of every tackle. Brazil were ageing team and on the ropes.
