Having an argument in my group chat; subject is IF hibs were somehow able to make the Europa league final (say France, Spain etc) in a reasonably placed location how many fans would we take.
Given the 80,000* Celtic took to Seville and the 100,000* odd Rangers took to Manchester.

Taking into account that the final is in Albania at a relatively small stadium, I’d imagine 10k tops.
You need to remember that Manchester was accessible for all. Seville pretty similar due to the number of no frills airlines as we referred to them back then. That has to be taken into consideration when looking at the number who travelled to both those games.
Would as many have travelled to Albania? I doubt it.
Edit - I see you said France/Spain - the principles of what I’ve said still stand.

Think we'd take around 40k abroad for a final in a decent location. Maybe more. We took 40k to a league cup final so factor in the much more prestigious game and the extra costs I think it would be about the same. Total guess though! Hibs fans from all over the world would be making an attempt to be there too. If it was in the UK like the huns we'd definitely take a lot more than 40k.

Hard to workout, toss up between season tickets/away attendance Us V ugly sisters V fact it would be once in a lifetime.
Group chat settled on around 30,000, maybe 35,000:/40,000 if the full city got swept up in Europa league final mania.
We can dream...

It'd probably depend on how the tickets are priced.

Probably 10/15k. We do have many more fans than that, but it would be a huge ask to take more than that abroad for a match.

The problem would be our allocation. When Chelsea and Arsenal played in the Europa final they were given 6000 tickets each in a 68,000 capacity stadium. We would easily sell out our allocation but I'm not sure as many would travel without a ticket

To see Hibs in a European final I would walk to Albania and pay virtually anything for a ticket.

Whilst uefa are horrific for allocations that allocation was because the game was in Baku and the airport could only accommodate 15,000 in total so 12,000 fans was the maximum

My thoughts exactly. That’s why we have found it hard to pick a number, weighing up the attendances at games V those whose could travel but also considering it would be a once In a lifetime.
Can’t wait till next May till we have our answer at the Europa league final...

Total crowd was only 17000. Imagine dons would be less than 10k.
