Would you be happy to part with £600 quid to see England lose the euros but alternatively gain £400 should they win? The bet would have to be outright and it would go towards your season ticket!😂

In a word, no.
Better off placing a bet on the synchronised diving at the Tokyo Olympics. I've heard Kane & Sterling are in with a good shout for the gold :tee hee:

I'd be happier backing them at 5/6 instead of 4/6, if I was forced to.

English players don't dive. That's those foreign chaps you're thinking about.
To a man, those English players are all decent fellows, and darned honourable.

And English people generally are all damn good sorts. No chance of their being involved in interfering with opposition players or going off battling in random bars.
Heard a terrific interview yesterday of a Glaswegian Italian. She was absolutely brilliant as she calmly explained that the four stars on the Italian shirt are a reflection on their four World Cup wins. Which, she went on to say, they went about winning quietly without singing some nonsense about football “coming home”. Loved her enthusiasm and quiet confidence

No, that’s a crazy mentality. I’d be happy to see England lose the Euros and not lose a penny, but it won’t ruin my life if they win it.
It’s **** like that which eventually makes problem gamblers, seeing potential losing £600 as a no lose scenario.

It's like buying insurance, if the worst happens you're covered.

Italians criticising England for cheating is like a zebra criticising a donkey for looking like a horse.

🤣 I’m using that
The bit about interference with players (Laser lights on this occasion) and battling was my poor attempt at humour.
I don’t think the lady ever criticised them for cheating, I agree, that would have been perverse. Only for claiming to own football and being bla’ hards disproportionate to their relative achievements
