Strange with the Euros on now, but the WC's no that far away.
FIFA are calling on all players to be with the teams from 14th November.
I heard somewhere that the EPL were going to start early and finish the season late, but anyone know what the plans are for Scotland? League, both cups - will everything just be paused for a month or are they intending on carrying on in part?
Daft idea playing it in the middle of a season - money talks tho eh!

Looking at the SPFL key dates until end of December 2022, looks like they haven’t published their decision yet
The 1st game is on the 21st November, so maybe they will need to be in the camp before the 14th
If Scotland don’t qualify, they run the league as normal, as most teams won’t have too many away to the Finals

The World Cup is always in the middle of the season...if you have a summer season that is.

Exactly. Any Argentinian looking in would be rolling their eyes. It's not really an issue nowadays because 90% of an Argentina squad would be Europe based but back in the day the World Cup would play havoc with their domestic season.
They have to play Feb/march through to early December because December and January is the hight of their summer and the heat makes it dangerous to play then.
It was causing so much disruption every 4 years that they now have an opening season, say Feb to May and a closing season where fixtures are reversed say August to November.
If this situation was applied in Scotland then rangers would have just stopped Celtic from achieving 19 in a row!
