Is their (excellent) website broken? Doesn’t seem to exist anymore.

I enjoy whiling away some hours at work reading their history section.

”Sadly it will be down for the foreseeable. Due to the circumstances the development of our new site has been pushed back”

HHT has encountered some issues with images used on the website. It would appear that a number of the images were under copyright to stock image libraries and commercial image libraries. The Trust has had to remove these images from their website even though it was unaware they remained under copyright. HHT at no time wants to use images that are not freely available or breach the rights of copyright holders. As a matter of prudence HHT is currently assessing all images to ensure it does not contravene any license agreements and therefore the website has been taken down.

The new website was well advanced, however, it carried over a number of the images and therefore the decision has been taken to delay publication. During the pandemic members of the Trust's volunteers have used the time to create a complete inventory of the Trust's artefacts, currently numbering over 7,500 items. Once this is complete it is intended to photograph the items and use these images to illustrate the articles contained in the website and as such own all images used.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

That inventory sounds like a good idea. Wonder what the plans are to get some of the 7500 on display and I wonder where they are all kept….
