Surely the greatest female singer Scotland has ever produced? I didn’t mind the Eurythmics, but her solo stuff is absolutely epic and the videos are masterpieces. I can’t believe I’ve just realised this.

Sad, but expected. Why not get involved in important stuff that matters?

You are aware that you’re on the dugout forum? Nothing matters here, that’s the whole point. The important stuff like calling you an arse is reserved for other forums. I hope I’ve been of help tonight and you’ve found solace in the wonderful music of the great Annie Lennox.

FFS are you at the wind up?

Without being a massive fan I agree she has a wonderful voice and an incredible catalogue.
She seems a really nice person too.

WTF? Who are you to decide what people discuss? If this doesn’t interest you that’s fine, but it’s really none of your business what people talk about.

Aye, would agree she has a great voice. I personally think Eddi Reader is the best female singer Scotland has produced.

Was my thoughts too after reading the thread title.

FWIW I think she lost her voice a few years back but her studio work is fantastic.

Both Annie Lennox and Eddi Reader are good, but I want to raise the stakes with Horse Macdonald. 👍😁

In terms of criminally underrated Scottish singers I would nominate Monica Queen. Her work with Belle and Sebastian was superb and some of her own stuff deserved far more recognition.

So listened, no bad voice, but didn't really dig the track. Probably one of those the more you listen the more they grow on you. It got me thinking though, Sharlene Spiteri is another great singer.

Drifting from mainstream, I always thought that Liz Frazer has a really different aspect to her voice than most singers. Niche perhaps.

As for Horse, you have to remember that that song is 30(ish) years old.

Kathryn Joseph paints pictures of entire new worlds with her voice. Great shout with Monica Queen btw.

Would Lulu be in with a shout .....:greengrin......as one of our most under rated singers? Her cover of The Man Who Sold the World rivals Bowie’s own version for me.

I love all of the singers mentioned so far but Kathryn Joseph really is something special.

We're getting a good cross section of musical genres here.

But nobody has mentioned lena zavaroni or sheena Easton 😉

...or Barbara Dickson, altogether now "January, February...."

Just remembered to add Shirley Manson, specifically when she was with Goodbye Mr McKenzie.

My dad is convinced we are distantly related to Annie Lennox after he watched the episode of Who Do You Think You Are that focused on her. If he’s right, shame the singing gene wasn’t passed onto us.

Not sure if it's my favourite song, but can never listen to I Saved the World Today without thinking of the Sopranos episode where Tony had a really bad day and it ended with that song.
