Ron Gordon wants us to compete at the top end of the league each season, be competitive in Europe and to win silverware.

Well today is a great opportunity to show that this is a new Hibernian Football Club, probably earlier than most pundits and fans would have expected. As Hibernian fans, we've far too many scars from previous finals. Think about those that we should have won such as Livingston and Ross County, a strong Hibernian Football Club should not be losing games like that. Also, think about the other cup finals where we invariably turned up more in hope than expectation that we would win.

Whatever the result today, I'm convinced that this is only the start. We'll continue to rise and aspire to where Ron Gordon and all of us want us to be. But today is a huge step on that road. Win, and win comfortably, and we'll take a huge step forward, in terms of confidence and how attractive our team is to fans and the commercial world. Lose, and the "typical Hibs" comments will resurface, which is disappointing considering the season that we've had.

Let's do this Hibs :flag::flag::flag:
