The official website is reporting on a new ‘partnership’ with Macklin Motors without actually saying what that means. Given Joma were announced yesterday also as a “partner,” have Hibs (in a needlessly cryptic way) just announced the new shirt sponsor?

No idea, but I saw something on LinkedIn last week, where someone from Macklin said they were looking forward to the arrangement

Think the number of commercial partners we have is steadily increasing now under RG. It’s an area that had been neglected for years. I think shirt sponsorship is going to be too expensive for Macklin.

It'll be supplying cars to the management team, probably. In return - track/programme advertising, on the big advertising board when live interviews done, maybe on the shorts or sleeve.

Macklin bought over leven cars recently (old sponsor that had the big banners in the east stand) wonder if it's a similar sponsorship.

IIRC, last time we had a motor garage sponsor out shirts was in the early 80's...Fishers Alfa Romeo.

Just my luck I worked for the Alfa Romeo along the road, Victor Wilsons along from Haymarket station.
