How many captains of (let’s stick with Scotland Under 21s) have we had?

Hanlon
McCormack?

and yet that doesn’t seem to translate into progression into the senior squad.... :(

I remember working with a guy from Portugal - this was before the rise of their golden generation - Figo and co were about to set the heather on fire. He told me to watch out for them - he said the secret was to keep the nucleus of team together through the age groups - they did this with their league teams too iirc. Then again they have the weather!

why do/did we perpetually **** up out National yoof development?
