Ayr United are delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with Burnley Football Club.
Burnley are today announcing strategic partners in all four corners of the British Isles including ourselves, Cobh Ramblers, Portadown and Llandudno.
The partner clubs will benefit from Burnley's football expertise in development and education of their coaches and players, sharing of data across youth academies and sport science and access to tools such as AiSCOUT.
In return Burnley will widen its scouting network for talent identification in the partner clubs’ region, with the most talented young players from each club travelling regularly to Burnley for football camps and assessment when identified.
All clubs’ academies and women’s teams will compete in a summer pre-season games and tournaments, while loan deals for Burnley’s academy players to gain experience at senior levels will also be considered.
United Chairman David Smith said :"This is a hugely exciting opportunity for our club and we are looking forward to the learning journey we have ahead through the Burnley Partnership.

Was watching SSN their owner mentioned it did not know which club thanks for the info. Hearts fans are wanting to do the same with Crystal Palace, I wonder why? 🤔

Brighton consider Palace as their derby will probably be their motivation.
About an hour on the road between the 2 clubs I believe.
Not sure how Palace view it in terms of rivalry?

I live quite near Palace and my wife's family are all from Brighton. Would say that rivalry is more one sided in that Brighton really hate Palace. Palace don't like Brighton but having rivals in London their dislike of Brighton isn't really reciprocated quite the same. A lot of it seems to go back to Venables and Alan Mullery's personal rivalry in the late 70s and early 80s apparently.

I live quite near Palace and my wife's family are all from Brighton. Would say that rivalry is more one sided in that Brighton really hate Palace. Palace don't like Brighton but having rivals in London their dislike of Brighton isn't really reciprocated quite the same. A lot of it seems to go back to Venables and Alan Mullery's personal rivalry in the late 70s and early 80s apparently.

That sounds a bit like Falkirk fans hatred of, well everybody, but particularly Dunfermline and Hibs, for some reason.

FOH have kicked off a fund-raiser where fans can pay £10 and get their names inscribed on the glass. It’s an intricate job but I reckon they just end up with a bunch of pierced glass holes...

Anything Hearts touch suffers the same fate as the original Crystal Palace.

Any club getting involved with them should be very, very cautious. And, it goes without saying, insist that any payments are made up front and in full.
