New pitch

2 flat bed Lorrys have just pulled up behind the south stand with tractors and and couple of other machines on them. Looks like the pitch may be getting dug up and relaid. Do we relay the pitch every year or does it just depend on the state of it around the end of the season?


Would be great to have a decent crowd back for the first league game with top notch pitch to be played on too.

The pitch is getting relaid it was brought up at the AGM it is not going to be a hybrid.

I think they usually do it from seed as opposed to turf

If it's not going to be a hybrid pitch i'm not sure what difference this year's maintenance will make to any other summer? The issue always seems to be when we need to use the under soil heating in the winter. Are we improving this system/drainage too?

It was mentioned s few time they could not get the usual maintenance done on the pitch last year. The pitch was looking terrible mid season so obviously regular proper maintenance is required.
