... how nervous would we all be now? A winnable cup final to end the drought. I doubt I'd be sleeping much and it would be going round and round in my head.

I'm positively blasé this time. :greengrin

Agree feel like the monkeys off our back
We do not need to be as nervous
If the Hibs turn up and play to their capabilities they will win

I'm not nervous at all, in fact I'm thinking of playing golf that day instead of watching our inevitable win. 😂

If 2016 hadn't happened I would be really nervous about the outcome and probably think we will never have a better chance to win it.

I would also be spewing a lot worse than I am now that I cannot attend.

True, I'm feeling quite relaxed. Winning it again would be amazing but I don't feel the terror of blowing another shot at it since 2016.

Imagine we couldn't have been there for that!

I'd be devastated about the prospect of missing out on attending the match which would end 119 years of not winning the Scottish Cup.

I'm still pretty down about the likelihood of not being able to go but I'm more relaxed about it than I would have been if 2016 hadn't happened.

Not such a big deal now the Monkey has gone of course we all want to win but there will not be the same level of devastation should we lose.

Given the prize that's on offer for this specific Scottish Cup I'm absolutely bricking it.

I'm still nervous, maybe even more so.

I'd almost resigned myself to never winning it. After the Falkirk game my plan in 2016 was to get drunk and try not to let Hibs spoil the day.

Winning the Scottish Cup for the first time in 119 years and not being able to be there to celebrate it. That would be atrocious. No thanks.

Was thinking about that earlier. A Scottish Cup final against a team 20 points behind us in the league to finally break a 119 year hoodoo. My nerves would be shredded.

It hit me properly today now that I've made plans to watch the game. Wish I could fast forward to it.

Too early over here to be on the hooch lol. I'm assuming it's a 3pm kick of British time?

I'm honestly more nervous this time. I knew we were going to win in 2016, so much so that I didn't have my usual 10 pints before a cup final and had no drink at all as I wanted to remember every second of it. 2016 was a strange one as having been kicked in the nuts so many times you'd think I'd know better but I genuinely just knew it was happening

I'm nervous as I couldn't attend the 2016 cup final or watch it on TV. The fact I can watch this and have a chance of actually attending (however miniscule of a chance) has made me quite nervous.

It is a bit of shame we didn't end the hoodoo against a proper club with a proper history and top flight experience like St Johnstone rather than against a lower league club who had never won a trophy. :flag::greengrin

I was very relaxed about this until I saw some the club's twitter stuff on the semi and then a little bit of The Greatest Cup Win.

Watery eyes again and very excited now.

I think I'm more nervous for this final than 2016 as I feel it's a great chance.
Didnt think we would win in 2016 and after Halidays goal said to my mate at least we have had another good day out!
Didnt think we would win in 2013 or 2001 ,have wiped 2012 from my memory and was convinced we would win in 1979.

I'm gutted I can't be there. it wouldn't top 2016 obviously but still, we don't get that many chances to see Hibs win a trophy and if they do win, I'll be gutted to be watching on telly and down in Manchester instead of with my brother and hibs mates.

that said, I'll be more gutted if they don't win. so get it won.

I'm probably more nervous tbh given that we've just finished 3rd and could top of an excellent season with a trophy and a huge cup win which would guarantee group stage European Football at Easter Road for the first time in donkeys years. The cash boost aswell to the club would be huge and vital to us getting even stronger over the coming seasons.

Every Hibs fan should be nervous. This is great chance to have our best season since 1952 with added bonus of a guarantee of 8 European games next season until December. This could be the start of a period of sustained success and season after season of European football.

Mix of nerves and excitement. European football until Christmas which would be massive financially and also a fantastic experience for us supporters assuming we can attend games next season. Adding another trophy to the cabinet, being able to celebrate with friends and family, enjoying the misery of Hearts fans.

Winning the Scottish Cup in 2016 broke the curse and gave us the best sporting day of our lives. Winning the Scottish Cup in 2021 would give us the opportunity to push on and cement our place as the 3rd biggest club in Scotland.

I think I'd be confident of finally winning it this time, simply because we couldn't be there to see it in person.

For some reason I'm more nervous than I think I've ever been about a game. I think it's because we're favourites and so close to having a brilliant season and the European group stages just adds to it big time

Easter Road full all going well with Covid on a European night would be magical. Alot of us younger hibees haven't experienced group stage European Football.

Feel exactly the same way as I have felt the last 60 years

We don’t win

Apart from 1972 we were definitely winning that ?

It is HIBS after all

Fingers crossed

I’ll be bricking it on the day as although I’m totally relaxed on one side because we have 2016, winning it again will utterly destroy some Hearts fans. Especially so after them bottling it against Celtic despite their so called special relationship with the Scottish Cup.

I can't see any point in Hibs net opening up a waiting list for tickets on this one :greengrin . I'll be in the house with a yet to be decided stash of either beers or spirits hopefully cheering the hibees on to victory. Will be a hard game mind as they're a decent team and will be hard to win against but there's something about this hibs team that's got a lot going for it. 2016 was unique for all sorts of reasons but so will this one be and I'll take no less pleasure if we win it. Really looking forward to it.

Meeting up with a few Hibby mates to sit and enjoy the game in a pub, first time in what feels like a very long time. Thanks to 2016 I’m feeling very relaxed about the game and looking forward to the day out(in)! The team are full of confidence, the players that can win us this game are in great form, we’ve got this😎

A good friend of mine died in his 40s just a few months after the 2016 cup win. It wasn't unexpected as he'd been very ill for a long time, but I took a lot of solace from the fact he did manage to see Hibs lift the Scottish Cup before he passed away. If 2016 hadn't happened I do truly believe I'd have found his death even harder to come to terms with.
