In the run up to the Scottish Cup Final I thought it would be a good idea to refresh the memory and blow the cobwebs away and remember the players that have proudly played for both protagonists
There have been quite a few over the years and it has to be said that there have been a lot of good players
I will start the ball rolling with the man that so loved to haunt us :

A great player at St J when I was a kid and was sold to Everton where he won his only Scotland cap in 1973.
Had a good career down south with Everton, Birmingham and Newcastle.
He was 30 by the time he reached Hibs in 1980 and I can't remember much about his time with us.
In 2004 he returned to St J as manager but was bucketed after a season.

Paul Wright. I'm sure Neil Berry broke his leg when he played for Hibs. Never the same player for us.

Agree
Was a great wee player fast electric will o the wisp with a tremendous shot and an eye for goal causing defences all sorts of problems was really looking forward to seeing him in the green then that Bassa Berry with that horrendous tackle
No surprise he came back to haunt especially in the Scottish Cup for Killie at Easter Road with a double in a match played in a snowstorm

Remember that game well and was only young at the time. Was behind the goals to see him lob Leighton from about 40yds with a volley. Still don’t think I’ve seen snow like it durn a game..was really windy and FREEZING for good measure!

John O'Neill was a wonderful player. Quite underrated in a very good side. He was magnificent in the 6-2 game.
