Feels like there hasn't been a poll for ages, so why not a third. :greengrin
Would you want to go to the final under the current circumstances?
Assume 3,000 fans, 1500 each. Masks and social distancing. No way to guarantee your friends/family would be there, but they could be if all lucky in the ballot.
Assume there's no testing requirements or anything else.

Yes.
Is this a trick question? :greengrin

Only if my family got tickets as well which is highly unlikely.

I had anticipated that I might get that response... :greengrin
I'm a bit torn. I had been fairly confident that it sounded rubbish, a complete damp squib with so few fans there and that I'd rather watch with my dad with a few drinks.
Then someone posted about a few years down the line and being able to say "I was there in 2021"...

Yes.
There would be large parts of the experience I would miss. So much of my enjoyment of football is the social aspect. However the chance to be one of a lucky few at the cup final in a season that has been so hard would be impossible to turn down.
It would be a surreal and intimate moment if we did win it as well. Imagine the players doing a lap of honour in front of 750 or 1000 fans. You would really feel part of something special.

Probably but it would be a bit pish.

Not with those numbers / conditions. Cup Final Day is all about sharing the experience with friends/family and fellow fans. Lunch, pub, beer and big TV for us.

Of course i would, it's a Scottish cup final.
I want to go yes. Know there is no chance but would love nothing more than the 4 hour drive on my own.

Yes.
Didn't make it in 2016.
My boy missed the last one because of college, we tried everything to get him home for the day and back again but it couldnt happen. I'd do anything to be there with him this time. If we do win I'd feel I'd made it up to him.

It looks like there would be more chance of getting a golden ticket an ending up in William Wonka's confectionery manufacturing premises than getting one for this game. I think that the fact that no-one has been able to go this season and we are all watching games from home has made the whole thing a bit easier to deal with - its like we've all been in it together. You wish you were there, but you don't feel your missing out too much because no-one else can go.
Honesty I'd rather no-one could attend rather than a few lucky golden ticket winners. That might be selfish, but I'm just being honest. The clamour for people to attend games throughout the season has been well intentioned but not properly thought through.
Of course if I did get the chance of a ticket I would gobble up the opportunity like Augustus Gloop when faced with a chocolate fountain :greengrin.

Might not be a lap of honour if the lucky fans have a pitch invasion (socially distanced ofcourse)

If I couldn't go with my dad I'd probably say no. Wouldn't leave him on his tod watching it in the house while I go and sit in Hampden.
I'm glad folk will be allowed in but I think some people, myself included, would rather watch it with the friends and family they go to the games with.

Yes 100%. Each to their own but I don't get not going to a cup final cause my mate can't come. It's a cup final.
Wonder if 2016 never happened if folk would still be saying no.

If I get offered a ticket I will take it and go but I wouldn’t be disheartened if I couldn’t make it as I know that I will be able to enjoy myself watching the game with friends/family and then head straight to Leith if we win.

If anyone in my family got a ticket, I’d steal it off them and go myself!

You won't be able to in that case.
You will need to show ID at the turnstile for test and trace purposes.

Let's hope they have something like that in place. I'd hate to see them being sold for silly money.
I'm just back to work again and would be delighted to go but quite happy to watch it on the telly, quite happy for all the younger guys to have a day out, 2016 is still strong in my memory.
Maybe only 50+ year old who have had their 2nd jab.:greengrin

Wouldn’t be able to identify anybody as we would be wearing masks, no pictures in the newspapers.

:agree:. It'll be fascinating to see how we socially distance our attacks on all 11 St Johnstone players.

I'd dropkick Ann Budge in the back of the head for the chance just to be in the ballot.

I would only go if I was able to go with my Son and/or Husband, both season ticket holders as well. Could not see myself sitting alone in a near empty Hampden. Would most definitely rather be with them at home if we couldn't all go.

I'm thinking along the same lines as you GG. Having just turned 74, I feel it would be better for the young folk who can shout a lot louder than me to be there to give the team maximum backing.
Thanks to 21/05/2016, I've seen us win our Holy Grail which I didn't think I'd see before popping my clogs. I did say to my laddie during the celebrations back then, that I could see us winning it again within a few years.
This time I'm content to watch it on TV and then, depending on the result, join in whatever celebrations are given the go ahead.

I'd go if they crammed in 50 thousand. The risk is so small now it isn't much of a risk at all and in a couple of weeks even more of the population will have been vaccinated or will have already had it. Safer than going to Ikea in my view and ridiculous that some fans haven't been in the grounds in the last month or so. I was very supportive of the lockdown but the danger has mostly passed and is well under control. Events should now be getting started

Sounds grim would rather watch it with family in the house
But the opportunity to say I saw hibs r we in the scottish cup twice in five years is a very Strong incentive to want to be there

I’m desperate to go.
But then I think of potentially going on my own, none of the normal stuff that goes with a cup final and so on.
But if (and it’s obviously a big if) I was lucky enough to get a ticket, it would feel pretty much impossible to turn it down.

No, I’m not a regular at games and would not even entertain the idea of taking a ticket away from someone who is.

I reckon anyone successful in the ballot should be given 3\4 tickets.
Reduces everyones chance of winning, but everyone there will be with the folk they go to games with.
If it's one ticket per win almost everyone there will be on their Tod.

Nah, not for me. As great as it would be to lift the cup again I couldn't imagine being there to see it without my dad.
